Went to Pisco de Mar for an early birthday celebration with friends and had a great time! Started with the croquetas de aji de gallina which were DELICIOUS!
I had the entraña a lo pobre, my fiancé had the jalea, and my friends had the Camarones Inka and the Arroz Chaufa con Pollo. Everything was really good, fresh, and dint take long to come out.
Had their chicha and it was nice too, very cinnamon forward. Finished the nice with a few different desserts including the tres leches and the flan!
Overall, the vibes were great, the staff was really friendly and attentive, and the food was a 10/10!

We’ve driven by many times and kept saying we had to try, and finally made it in.
1st thing you see upon entering is the sign telling you to “Start with ceviche” Don’t mind if I do
Tasty little shot of soup?
Cerviche Duo – Basa cerviche and Chicharron de Pescado, both are delicious
Maracuya was a medium sized carafe
Chicken Skewers were delicious
Causa with Octopus was very good
Seafood Aeropuerto Chaufa is delicious! I’ll be back for more.
We had no idea these plates were so big, we ordered for a whole family lol. I honestly thought the ceviche would be a small cup hehehe

Pisco de Mar was highly recommend to me so I took my family there. I have to admit, when we arrived, we almost turned immediately around and left. Nothing to do with the way the place looks. This restaurant is super clean bright and nicely decorated. The reason was, it was empty. Going by the person who recommend it, who happens to be Peruvian, I decided to give it a try. Like me, you will not be disappointed! There were four of us and everyone’s place was great!
I had Taku taku, which is my go-to plate in Peruvian restaurants, 10 out of 10! Don’t walk, run to this place. Plenty of parking.

Lovely place with some great authentic Peruvian pescatarian/seafood options. Good size portions and helpful staff. If this type of food suits your palate, I think it’s worth trying. Just an FYI, your bill may include gratuity and a credit card transaction fee.

Overall great experience! To start I ordered the tostones, $15 for a great amount! Super fresh with lots of lime. Delicious! To eat I ordered chaufa mixto, having chicken and steak. It looked so good I forgot to take a picture before I ate! There are three options of the lomo, ranging from $20 to $33 depending on what steak you want. The sauce was pretty good, however, I was not really impressed. It tasted kind of average and lacked some flavor. The rice was amazing, cooked so fluffy and moist. The meal named something with trio was by far my favorite. Honestly, probably the best Peruvian dish I’ve had. The chicken was cooked to a crisp perfection, juicy and crunchy. The ceviche was a fish, I’m not too sure what it was specifically but it was great. The green pea rice was addicting!! The passion fruit juice was pretty good as well! The music, vibes, and aesthetic were very nice. However, the staff wasn’t the nicest if you weren’t Hispanic/Spanish speaker. I noticed our waitress wasn’t very tentative to the people at my table other than myself. She would come to our table asking me if I wanted a box for someone else’s (someone at my table) food. Other than that, it was a good tasty experience!

The food is moderate but pricey compared to other small Peruvian restaurants I’ve been to. You are welcomed with a fish shot which was not to my liking. The restaurant is decorated cute. The only thing I was a bit confused about is why the bill came out to $84 and change if we only ordered steak chaufa, ceviche with fish and they put a few pieces of calamari, passion fruit juice, and an espresso shot. Other than that my experience was good.

I ordered the tallerin verde and barely received anything for the price of it. This dish was $30 and it came in a round take out container. If this dish is $30, at least give more noodles and place it in a rectangular container. Noodles at a supermarket cost $2.The dish didn’t even taste so good for it to be $30. Very disappointed. Especially being located in Garfield where the area is not filled with rich people. This business will not last with the price of the food.

Great restaurant. First, they welcome us with a fish soup on the house. It’s was delicious. Our dinner was also delicious, great presentation, good portions, amazing flavors. The restaurant just opened 2 months ago. The decorations are beautiful. If you want to have a decent meal, this is the place. The price is a little higher than other Peruvian restaurants, but is it worth it.
