We went from the decadence parade to this lovely establishment. They were very accommodating, and the inside dining area had the best lighting. It was perfectly ambient, with hushed conversations, mood piano, and a lovely buzz of the crowd. Everyone was smiling, and it was the perfect establishment to relax in. They do offer an outdoor seating on a private courtyard, but it was a bit bright out there so we enjoyed the bar instead. There were no issues with us relocating, and they were extremely pleasant staff.

Such an amazing little place. This was our third visit and each time is like a light breeze of nostalgia. For the uninitiated, Orleans Grapevine is first and foremost a wine bar, that offers quite a nice wine list and is frequented primarily by locals as far as we can tell. The bar seems to fill up first, and there are about 10 tables to fill the rest of this wonderfully cozy spot.
The menu can be quite dynamic — so you’ll likely get a new experience each time you stop in — and is always excellent. We arrived early (in time for “Bacon Happy Hour” — see pics) and sat at a table in the bar near the player piano. Wine flights and warm brie with honey is how every meal should start. After, french onion soup and blackened redfish almondine were delicious for the main course. Finished with french press coffee and key lime pie for a perfect meal.
It’s the best little local wine bar in the Quarter staffed by truly kind folks who serve delicious food out of a hole in the back wall (aka kitchen pass-thru). Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

We tried a different place and they did not acknowledge us so we left and walked here. So glad we did. What a hidden gem. Love the secret courtyard. We had the fish and the pork chop. Both were very good. The pork chop was huge ! Definitely recommend this place. They have a great wine list too. The bread is served warm so that was a plus. James took good care of us.

Literally my favorite restaurant. Got the fish special which was redfish.. DELISH. The flavors are so good and not too terribly pricey. Will be back!

We stumbled upon this little place about 15 years ago and now it’s our go-to place any time we are in NOLA. Service is attentive and friendly. The food is divine. We dropped in last night and had the cheeseboard and had a couple of shareables. The cauliflower soup was so delicious I could’ve eaten that all night and the cheeseboard had a decadent chocolate goat cheese that would rival most desserts. We shared the scallops and portobello with chicken This will continue to permanently be on our list of must-do while in New Orleans.

We went to eat here for dinner while we were in town for the Red Dress Run In August. August generally is very hot and so I was looking forward to sitting down in an air-conditioned restaurant. I don’t know if it’s not air-conditioned or it just wasn’t working but it was almost hotter inside the restaurant than outside. I was miserable! It was a busy weekend so I knew the service would be a little slow. Once we got our food I was still disappointed as it was not very good. We ended up not even eating half of it. I was very disappointed. I would have thought it would have a lot more flavor being in the South. Unless someone else is paying for my meal, I probably won’t try this again. It was definitely convenient as far as location. You might need to go a little further away from Bourbon Street to get really good food. I haven’t had the best luck.

Phenomenal. Everything about this experience was phenomenal. Every dish we ordered (baked Brie with fruit, scallops, steak and seafood special) were superb. (The scallops were the best I’ve had). They are able to accommodate dietary restrictions with ease and care. The venue itself was great. There is both dining room/bar and a back patio (we sat in the patio). The decor is lovely (loved the water feature in the patio). Customer service is top notch. Our waiter, James, was attentive, funny, and a true delight. The manager, Mark, went out of his way to make us feel like VIPs. My partner and I decided long before our night here was over that this venue will be our go to spot when we’re in town. Having worked both front of house and back of house, I couldn’t be more impressed by the staff here. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience.

We were going to post the beautiful plating of our meal but got carried away with the first taste. The Angus Medallions with the Goat Cheese Salad and our truffle infused buttered French bread were a tough tie with the excellent service and cocktails. My husband and I found exactly why we were here on holiday by coming to Orleans Grapevine and Wine Bar.

What a hidden gem! Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Piano music was nice. Charlotte the Bartender was fun and some kind locals at the bar. Don’t miss the brie appetizer. Complimentary bread has a homemade butter. Entrees were both wonderful, Mushroom de Vin and crawfish/grits special

We stumbled across this little gem, and could not have been happier! The food was absolutely fantastic. The blacked shrimp and grits with Abita beer sauce was to die for!
