I love Tropical Smoothie. I consume them 3-4 times per week at MINIMUM. I visit this location 50% of the time and Riley Fuzzle the other 50% (excellent service and food items). However, I had witness many episodes of concerns related to improper food handling, poor hand hygiene and today I found a long straight black hair in my Smoothie bowl with a chia seed attached. I will never revisit this location. Gilbert agreed to remediate by making me another bowl but I refused and he agreed to refund me. However, no empathy or apologies were offered. Gilbert (self-proclaimed GM) attested to making it and said it was only him and alluding to it was impossible for the hair to be there.
There is no way it could be my hair as I have blonde and brown locs.
To be specific: I’ve witness wraps placed on direct unwiped surfaces from toaster, someone made my smoothie bowl and someone else’s simultaneously who had peanut butter and I preinformed them of my peanut allergy. Someone was cutting fruit while making a smoothie bowl..
They discarded something in the trash, wiped their hands on it and proceeded to make someone else food without changing their gloves.

Gilbert was very kind and helpful. He helped us with the menu and took care of us very quickly. He was also super friendly with my daughter. Smoothie was amazing and tasty.

This place was very clean and well kept. Dustin provided the best customer service and was patient with my order. Marissa was the same. They guided me to order my first açaí bowl from here and it was an okay choice. Will be back to try more.

Ordered here a few times and they are usually ok with a nice presentation. Today they gave me an acai bowl that was clearly pre-made. The acai was an ice block and I waited almost an hour to chip away at the ice. Ended up with a sad watery acai bowl. I dont mind that its premade but at least put it in the blender before for a $11 order. This place is too expensive for frozen fruit. I added the pictures to try and show the issue. Thankfully another acai bowl place is opening up soon across the street.

Gilbert was amazing!!! Such a chad!!!! Give this man a raise, such a handsome man deserves handsome rewards. Food was amazing and drinks were amazing. Put a smile on my nieces face which is appreciated!!!!!

I read a review that the acai was great! It’s not. Extremely sweet and just a frozen piece of acai with honey and some fruit on top. Besides we were the only ones there and I asked for no coconut and guess what? They added coconut on mine… $11 for that is not worth it…
