This was our first visit under the new management. It was a perfect experience! The food was amazing from appetizer to dessert. Our server, Cat, was super busy but still made sure to check on us regularly. The bartender mixed our drinks perfectly. The entertainment was on point. If I could leave 6 stars, I would! Great job with the revamp, guys!

Food and atmosphere were amazing! They had several screens to watch the game and the wait staff was very attentive. However, the dessert was a MUST HAVE. The berry tiramisu was amazing, I could have had two!

Food, really good. Service, ok – waitress failed to inform us of charging us for styrofoam cups of water – which is how all drinks are serviced besides bottles for beer. Then the cups all had these styrofoam pieces floating in them. We had children drinking out of these, and it’s highly unacceptable to serve this to anyone, much less children. We had no idea until one went to refill his drink, and saw it. We all check ours and saw it in all of our cups.

Not kid friendly, exactly, so if you’re an adult and want a kid free place – this is where you’d like to come – but be cautious of drinking out of any styrofoam cups they may have.

Minus one star for charging for water (who does that?) plus lack of informing us of that charge, minus another star because the manager came out and apologized, and said they threw the rest of that sleeve away, but didn’t bother offering any kind of comp for the situation, and minus another star for not being kid friendly – this is the lake. There’s literally 3 restaurants on this lake, this being one of them. For families who like to go out and visit places to eat, I wouldn’t bring my kids back to here considering the prices for what you get. Some may be ok, but, there’s a severely limited menu to chose from to begin with.

Hate that there was no action from the manager to all the other tables about the cup thing. That’s dangerous to knowingly serve that to people.

Basic bar food. Good hang out spot for adults. Not returning due to nickel and diming, and lack of proper consolation to customers if something is wrong.

Under new ownership . They are still “getting it together” but it’s still a great place to have a meal and enjoy the views.

The food was delicious and this is a super neat atmosphere with good live music. Super disappointed, however, in the service. My boyfriend and I spent $75 on food and drinks, and kindly left a $20 tip for the waitress. Might I add, we knew what we wanted to order upfront and even only asked for a bucket of beer, so we really were an easy table to wait on. Promptly after paying, the waitress abruptly notified us that because the live music was starting, we needed to pay a “cover fee” of about $20 to stay. Given we have just paid almost $100, we were upset to be essentially kicked out if we didn’t pay a “cover fee” for staying, so we left. Within 3 minutes of getting to the truck, we realized we forgot our leftovers. We quickly ran to the table and found the waitress, only to be told she had already thrown our food away (about $30 worth of it). She didn’t seem to care or offer anything. To say we are displeased is an understatement. We would have loved to have had a better experience given we are locals who would have otherwise likely become frequent patrons here several weekends a month, but definitely won’t be the case now.

I LOVE the laid back atmosphere here! The food is great, the drinks are cold and the staff is pretty dang awesome!!
I tend to be a picky eater. Whenever I eat at Bear Creek I get quality food you can tell was made by someone who cares about what is being served. Many of the specialty drinks they serve were favorites of regulars customers that have been added to the menu. The management staff, Charlotte (she is an ANGEL! ) and Emily ( love her too ) listen to their customers and even greet everyone that walks through the front door! They truly care about the people who chose to come in very weekend. They also serve the community, helping out with different charity events through out the year. If you are looking for a great place to escape the oppressive Georgia heat, come in, grab and seat, and enjoy your favorite cold beverage. You won’t be disappointed!

My family and I have been to Bear Creek twice. The food is ok and what you would expect for a restaurant on the lake. My biggest complaint is that I ordered a cheeseburger each time and in both instances the burger was raw and bleeding. I don’t eat raw red meat. The manager the first time gave me credit and the second time made me another one. The staff is always nice and helpful. That will bring me back. I’ve worked in the business and I know these things happen. I would suggest a system to be put in place to quality control beef and chicken to ensure it is fully cooked. Next time I think I’ll try something different though!

Not sure if they were short staffed or if our waitress just wasn’t having a good night. Took forever to get a simple sweet tea but the food came out pretty quick. We got the gator bites and it was pretty obvious that there were some filler chicken bites in there. Great atmosphere though!
