The first time I ate at this establishment, the heavens parted and the sun shone brightly. I thought the food was the best I’ve ever eaten. That being said, I’ve obviously come back for more business. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s amazing, sometimes it’s far from it. They do have really amazing sauce to compliment their already amazing BBQ. The atmosphere is a bit run down, and some girls there do have attitudes. However, I go to eat… not make friends so I don’t care. It should also be noted they have very strange hours, they are not your typical restaurant in terms of hours or service

By far my favorite barbecue to get when I come to Charlotte. There’s a reason they’ve won all those awards: their pulled pork and ribs are some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Quality food, great people, excellent family-oriented and friendly service, very laid-back. I make it a point to go every time I’m in town, you should too!

Hubby and I have been here two or three times now and we love it!! The brisket is phenomenal! The prices are a bit high and their hours of operation aren’t the best, but otherwise nothing negative to say. We’ve had great food, full bellies, and food for a later meal each time we have been.

Had the Special; pork rib sandwich with coleslaw. Meat was melt in your mouth tender with great flavor and they did not skimp. I chose to top it off with some of their Thick and Sweet BBQ sauce which was a perfect combo. Coleslaw is like KFC but better! To top it all off, the hush puppies you get with each meal were beyond delicious. I will definitely be back!

This is a small family run local BBQ place in Lake Wylie. I have been there a couple of times and received decent service and the pork BBQ is OK. They has a large bar inside with TVs for sports. It is not Lexington NC quality and not as good as many other options in the Charlotte area….but it is the only game in town in Lake Wylie…so it will do. It is a little pricey for what you get ($11.99 for pork bbq plate with two sides lunch.) They usually have some homemade desserts available which are usually pretty good but also a little pricey at $4.50 each for relatively small portions. I got the fresh peach cobbler that was good but came in a very small Styrofoam cup. Banana pudding is actually a side at this place, so if we want to go with a plate and then other fries or slaw and banana pudding as your side, it is a good meal. Enjoy!

Visited the newly expanded Q2U for lunch with a group from out of town. Everyone loved their food and was very pleased with the service and prices. The staff greeted us and we were seated promptly. The order arrived quickly and was 100% accurate. Besides the fabulous pork bbq, give the chicken and ribs a try too. The beans are spectacular and the mac-n-cheese is better than grandmas. They have recently doubled the size the restaurant, expanded the hours, and added a bar and more tvs. Great for sporting events or a great family dinner. We will definitely be visiting again soon and the group from out of town has already asked if they can come back when they are in town again too.

I want everyone to know how good this restaurant really is. Everything this restaurant serves is fantastic. The portions are generous, the taste of the food is the best!. The service was prompt, courteous, professional and most of all friendly. The BBQ is to die for, the chicken is succulent and the BBQ Ribs are 2nd to none. The award winning sauce compliments the already tasty BBQ. The atmosphere is friendly. They also have a full bar which I saw many of the patrons taking advantage of. There are many TV’s to watch your favorite game. I see why this restaurant had to expand, and the main reason is the quality of food they serve. So do yourself a favor and visit Q2U BBQ Pit in Lake Wylie S.C. you won’t regret it and I bet you’ll be back time and time again as I know I will. I drove from Mooresville N.C. and my dining experience was worth every mile I drove. I highly recommend this BBQ restaurant.

I really want to like this place because there are no BBQ places close around. I had went probably 4years ago and I remember liking it but not being impressed by it. So I recently went back to try it out. As soon as we sat down and looked at the menu, the prices were outrageous for what they had, in our opinion. Especially for pulled pork. The price range is around 12 for simple pulled pork sandwhich and the half rack of ribs were I beleive $18. But we decided to just go with a small plate & try it. He got the SMALL pulled pork for 9.99 and I just went for the cheapest thing, the chicken tenders for 7.99. Our waitress was not good at all. And I hate to say that. When she walked up to our table, we didn’t even get a smile, she didn’t introduce herself or any of that. She very much had an attitude like some of the previous comments had stated about the staff. When we got the food we took a few bites and we were done. It just wasn’t good. The fries were crinkle cuts but had absoultly no seasoning or flavor what so ever. The chicken tenders had no flavor and they seemed to be something you can get in the frozen section. The hush puppies, which are always the best part to any BBQ place, were terrible. I was so upset about that lol they were hard and almost chewy. The pulled pork was very dry & the beans were extremely mushy. The BBQ sauce isn’t bad if you like a strong vinegar based type. I like all types of BBQ but it is so liquidy that when i tried to dip my tenders in it, I couldnt seem to pick any up! This is a BBQ place, everything is supposed to be covered in a sweet, smokey, thick sauce lol I hate to complain but we were just so dissatisfied with the entire place, in all areas. The food was not traditional South Carolina BBQ, and the staff was horrible. This is definitely not a bbq place where you walk in and smell the bbq being smoked, get greeted with a friendy staff, get a big basket of hush puppies & southern SWEET tea brought out to you, and then a big plate of juicy, smoked, smothered pork. I can definitely say that I will not be back & will not recommend to anyone. You can get better BBQ at even Sonnys for cheaper with bigger portions.

Went in for lunch and tried the brisket plate. The slaw was great, the baked beans fair, but the brisket was horrible.
If you’re used to TX brisket, I’d recommend you get something besides the brisket plate. Place was nice and service was pleasant.

We used them to cater our wedding and they were fantastic! Great food for a good price. We had plenty of food for everyone. We also dine in from time to time. Fast service and we love the banana pudding!
