The chicken Tikka Masala was delicious and they give you a lot of food. This place is great if you eat a lot or want to take some extra food home.

My kids live near this Indian restaurant, and so before Thanksgiving day, we went for dinner.
we ordered, Salmon Tika masala
Masala, Shrimp Saguala, Sagg Paner, Lamb Korma, chicken vindaloo, and a side of garlic naan for all of us to share.
The food was very fresh, and we ordered all medium level spice,
the food came out with a large bowl of basmati rice. My favorite items were the Lamb Korma and the chicken vindaloo.
the Salmon TIka masala I did not love. but loved the Tika Masala sauce.
the saag paner was just ok.
Small place with a few chairs for tables. Service was provided by a young man who was probably a family member, Black large dishes to at off of but the utensils were plastic packed silverwareish.

Found this gem while visiting Philadelphia! It may sound cliche, but we knew we were in the right place when we walked in and there was a full table of people of Indian ethnicity. The food was delicious and authentic. Plus the portion sizes were huge. We will definitely visit here again!

Great tasty Indian food!
Didn’t realize there was this great place so close to the Navy Yard. My friend and I both had the combo meals which came with Samosa, entree, naan, rice, and a drink. I had the lamb saag and he had the chicken masala. We were able to customize the spice on each and it tasted great! I don’t eat Indian food that much but from someone that doesn’t eat it that often, this was a great place for lunch.
Overall, if you are craving Indian food near Navy Yard this is the place to go and grab lunch. Worth the short trip.

Amazing experience. They had given salad and on top of that option to switch rice with butter naan for the curry which was like am I in India right now? The goat vinadaloo was amazing. Perfect spices and hot. The chicken butter masala was bland but then we asked for mild. I think the flavor was not coming properly. The paneer makhni was also on sweeter side even though we asked for spicy. But they do have something called garlic chili naan, which was a treat. Too much chilies, order on your own risk lol! The regular garlic naan were great too. I enjoyed the presentation of the place and serving. It felt like having the treat in India. The mango lassi was on seeeter side, the sweet one was not so much but freshly made. Overall a good add to neighborhood and Philadelphia India scene, I think if you order according to taste you won’t go wrong.

Food was really mediocre and extremely expensive. Curries were all really bland and felt like undercooked, as if they needed to be cooked down for a lot longer. Breads were bland too. Delivery for two cost us $90? No thanks.

It’s a very casual dining setup but comfortable. Had the garlic naan although I ordered the rosemary, veggie samosas and chicken biryani. The samosas were a bit thick… had little taste. The naan and chicken biryani were divine( I’ll come back for those items). The gentleman server was kind and efficient. Parking might be a challenge depending on time of day. Not pricey.

Tried Saffron based off the reviews and we were not disappointed. Samples the meat appetizer, lamb pasanda (cream almond sauce) and shrimp tikka masala and naan. We were not disappointed and actually have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Meal total was $50 before tip. Highly recommend trying this Indian restaurant!

Great Indian food. Ordered chicken tikki masala and lamb vindaloo. The flavors were great, spicy and good portions. Not a big fan of the Gyro though. Will order again.
Updated review (May 2022)
Wow, their portions got smaller while prices went up. Do one or the other, not both. I want to dock a star for this but the food is still good. 3 entrees for $50+
