Great authentic smoke house,
Best ribs l had in years, we also had smoked brisket sandwich and loaded french fries, which were great.
We met the owner who gave us to tase samples of what he had to offer.
It’s only 15 minutes drive from Lake Geneva, you must stop there.

BBQ Mac had a great texture, decadent creamy and the pork on top was tender and flavorful. Just the right amount of sweet and tangy BBQ sauce.

Love the home-style tables and friendly service. Call ahead if you want ribs as they sometimes run out and don’t cut corners to pull meat off the smoker early.

Stopped in for lunch. Of course we could not choose just one thing so settles for the combo & chicken sandwich. The burnt ends weren’t done when we ordered but the owner came out with some while we were eating. Really enjoyed the chicken sandwich and potato salad. The ribs were good. Wish the brisket would come out without the sauce on it. Dragon Fire sauce had a little spice, but very sticky honey based. Friendly attentive staff.

I’ve been cooking and visiting bbq places most of my adult life. And Jacob’s turned a new page in the history books. This is by far the best bbq I’ve had in the last 20 years. Spanning visits to Texas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and everyone in between, Jacob’s is the shining star you should be heading towards for awesome bbq. I had the sample platter. Burnt ends were cooked to perfection and were tender and juicy, with a crisp burnt crust. Ribs had an amazing smoke ring and pulled off the bone gently, perfectly like you’d dream of. The brisket was also tender and had a wonderful gentle smoky flavor. Now…. New to the menu, Jacob brought a sample of pineapple pulled pork. I’ve never been a fan of fruit mixed with meat. But this combination, cooked the way Jacob blended them together, was by far the most amazing food experience in my entire life. I was proved dead wrong that fruit shouldn’t be mixed with meat. This has completely changed my perspective of trying meats mixed with fruit. My wife had the Mac n cheese with brisket. I wasn’t a big believer that this would be anything but mac n cheese with brisket thrown in it. Yet again, I was proved wrong. The seasoning in the Mac n cheese had a savory hint that really married together with the brisket. One flavor didn’t overpower the other. It was so delicious. No matter your prior experiences with bbq, you NEED to try Jacob’s!!! It will change your life!

First time here. BBQ sandwiches, ribs, Mac n cheese. Very good. In the Loop, Burlington. Order at the counter. Carryout. They sell out of some items early. Again very good. Will come back.

The owner made an amateur mistake when running this place. You can’t call yourself a BBQ place and serve reheated food. Would you go to a steakhouse and order a steak that was already cooked and reheated? Of course not, and neither should you do the same with brisket or pulled pork. This was my experience here, they just cook and reheat and serve instead of fresh. Charged me 65$ for a pound of bland reheated brisket and a tiny chewy pulled pork sandwich. That is a sin in BBQ, reheating smoked items. I wanted to like this place but I can cook better than this at home for much much cheaper. Hopefully they aren’t offended by this review and learn from it. Mission BBQ in Kenosha is superior.
