As a safety concern, there are sometimes questionable individuals that loiter and dine-in, but in terms of online delivery it may be a better suit for most. As far as food goes, the pricing and quality is decent for most major cities but unfortunately falls far below Philadelphia’s food standards. If you would want more choices of pizza’s at the exact same prices, and in a more comforting and kid friendly atmosphere with philly’s quality, you would be better off going to Giovani’s Bar & Grill on Chestnut street. Or if you are in the area as a local, than City View Pizza, (located on the same street at the end of the block) is the way to go in terms of cleanliness and quality. I do hope that in a few years this review will be irrelevant and John’s Pizza will improve, and I wish them good luck in future, but for now (unfortunately) this is my politely-honest take.

For a whole year I walked right by this place at least once a week. Never noticed it was a pizza place. Went in today for a slice and was thrilled. It’s so good. Highly recommend for pizza snobs .

So my friend wanted a NY flavor slice of pizza, but in Philadelphia. I highly recommend John’s Place for pizza if you’re looking for a NY flavor type of slice. I went on a Thursday evening around 6:10pm and it stated online that they closed at 7pm for now. The workers were welcoming and the order of 2 pepperoni slices was served in under 10 minutes. It was served hot and had a good dough that wasn’t flimsy and stayed afloat during the entire devourourment. Good cheese to pepperoni ratio. I added the extra italian seasonings and parmesan cheese offered to shake on yourself. They have competition nearby but this is your spot if like I said you’re looking for a NY style slice of pizza pie. The mozzarella sticks (6) are good also served with a good, chunky marinara sauce included.

As usual the customer service was good, the seating area was clean and the price was just right. If you’re in a mood for a quick lunch or something to eat. Stop by John’s Restaurant you will not be disappointed.

I got the cheesesteak. Solid all around place. wasn’t horrible finding parking and plenty of seating inside. award winning pizza and the 3 other people that came in all got something different. Cheesesteak and ice tea, $11.90.

I cant comment on the food but the service was horrible. I placed an order online which was supposed to be delivered in an estimated 45 minutes window. After an hour and 15 minutes I called the store to follow up at which time they told me my food was still there. She said she would call the delivery service and see why the food wasn’t picked up. I mentioned that I would rather have them send somebody now with the food than to find out why it wasn’t picked up but she was not hearing it and said she would call me back after she finds out. After waiting 15 minutes and not getting a call back, I called the store and was told my order was canceled. I asked why nobody called me to inform me that and they simply reply they got busy. After waiting for an hour and a half there was no food coming! The most frustrating thing about the whole ordeal was they showed no sign of sympathy to the situation and at Point offered no apology whatsoever. I have three small children at home and basically couldn’t give them a decent dinner tonight.

We just happened to park in front of this place looking for a parking spot and we were hungry so we went in and it was breakfast time. I heard The Lady saying that they were there 45 years. That’s pretty cool anyway they were very nice. The food was delicious and she served us even though it wasn’t reallythe kind of place that you normally get served at. I wish it was closer to my house.
