We waited 20 mins for food that is already prepared! There didn’t seem to be too many orders ahead of us! The macaroni and cheese is dry and cold! They could’ve microwaved it and we would not have known! The beans were okay. The brisket was too fatty! Very disappointed based on what we paid! The best thing I had was the tea from the machine!

The Baseline
The Baseline: For a sit down chain BBQ restaurant the bbq meats must be quality/tasty, the sides need to be a good accompaniment to the meats, the smoke flavor must be present, drinks should be stiff, service should be efficient, and the restaurant should have character.

Food: The smoke and flavor of the pulled pork sandwich was bold and beautiful. For a Bludso’s franchise location in, technically, an airport location this was really good. The meat had a nice little smoke ring to it and the slaw on the sandwich helped cut the fat of the meat. The side of collards was salty/smokey/tender but the $7 pice tag on the cup sized side was a bit pricey. Overall good BBQ.

Service: This is an Order at the kiosk (in which you can order other Proud Bird restaurant food). The meal is prepped and you pick it up from one location all the other restaurants share. Efficient but not a ton of human interaction, but necessary for this venue.

Ambiance: Must love planes! The Proud Bird location mixes a fun hang out experience with a little museum vibe into the mix. Great indoor seating and outdoor family picnic vibes. I highly recommend this place to hang out with family and friends.

Location is awesome and really beautiful. I didn’t realize Los Angeles had a chapter of the Tuskegee Airman so it was a great learning experience. Blud soes BBQ was pretty good. Chicken was juicy and flavorful, pulled was nice, the brisket was okay but still highly flavored just a bit dry. The sides are all good and plenty of meet and flavor, drunk are awesome. This is a great location with four food options and drinks (Alcohol included). Very family friendly
Atmosphere and a big TV with sports playing 24/7. Great for birthdays or small family
Functions as there is a playground and green space outside for all to enjoy. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area.

I love the Atmosphere of the place but not so much the food or service to be honest it was a bit confusing at first. It was my second time that, I go to the location where they have Bludso’s Bar-B-Que. I didn’t like the service that much because when, I ordered on the platform screen, I waited for awhile everything was going flawless until I notice that part of the order looked like it was ready but maybe they were waiting for something just to make sure I got up close and made myself noticeable. I told the young lady “Hi, my name is Manuel just wanted to check if my order is ready gave her my number she responded with yes still not available and I said ok thank you for letting me know will be waiting for the order close by. Time passes by and still nothing but I notice since I told her that the order was waiting already. I kept my eyeball on that tray with the food. Until I was getting worried I told myself let me ask her again if my order is ready. So, I did and guess what it was ready and it was that order I was eyeballing since the start. I was so disappointed at that time already but didn’t show it tried not too! But wow when I got the food to my parents my chicken hamburger and macaroni was already cold. It wasn’t the worst experience food was alright but not for the price. Not only Bludso’s other food places. It’s a good place to check and view the planes landing and FAA history on site with a beer

Every bit of flavor was worth it the brisket had a unique flavor that I couldn’t get enough of. The pulled pork was tender and the sauce really complemented everything great experience

This place is inside the Proud Bird. It has a gigantic parking lot, totally easy to get into. It’s about as big as a Costco really. Also spacious inside with a couple of different choices to accommodate friends with diverse tastebuds. There’s the bbq style joint, burgers and pizza. The elote was a surprise hit. My boyfriend and I got a full rack of ribs with a 1/4 lb. of brisket. Probably should have gotten a side because it was salty af. But delicious, because we finished it all between the two of us. My friend got the classic burger and fries. Very American, standard fare. Our keto meal was about $20/person so not bad. Would come back but I’d be interested in trying other things on the menu.

P.S. you can hear planes flying to and from LAX. Their aviation theme is on point.

I was excited to try this place after watching Bludso’s bbq show on Netflix. I feel conned. Not only is it not particularly good, but it’s way overpriced.

1) Pulled pork- 7/10. Probably the best of the meats. But was a bit bland.
2) Brisket- 6/10. Had a good fat to meat ratio, but was a bit tough and dry.
3) Chicken- 5/10. Dry. Comparable to a Costco rotisserie chicken, but a bit smokier and spice rub.
4) Hot Link- 3/10. Plain bad. Basically a spicy, overly salty bologna texture.
5) Corn bread- 7/10. Decent, but dry and crumbly.
6) Cole slaw- 5/10. $7 for a half cup of cole slaw. Rip off. Pretty standard except overly peppery.
7) Mac & cheese- 8.5/10 the best thing we ate. But also $7 for a half cup.
8) Potato salad- 6/10. Also $7 for a half cup. Was fine. Pretty grainy potato mush though.

while it is cool to look at some planes in that parking lot, this location does the brand a disservice. the food is not cooked on site, but rather warmed up. this is MUCH worse. go to the La Brea location for the real Bludso experience

Horrible place. Can not talk to anyone, they are all “on-line” now masters of texting and non-sense information except what people need to know. Drove for hours to find a barricaded door, no service and nobody to talk to…. If you are the generation that can NOT live without a cell-phone in your hand – you belong here…

Hit or miss. The first time I went the brisket and short rib was super tender and lean. The next time it was tough and fatty. The pork ribs are also tough with hardly any meat. Portions are small either way, and this place is expensive. Lunch for 3 was $60 not worth it.
