Reviews
I want to thank the owner for reaching out and making sure that everything I’ve wrote was considered. Today, as we walked in, we were greeted within a minute, sat at a table, and then our server came by not long after. His name happened to be Philip. I did get something different this time. Everything came out in less than 20 minutes, from appetizers to entrées, and everything was completely delicious. We even enjoyed a dessert this time. It was just my son and I today, but he’s the real Ramen lover so we were for sure going to try it again. I couldn’t have been more pleased. The only reason I’m leaving my old review here is because the owner was so kind and caring and they wanted to make sure that everything that I did have concerns of last time were taken into consideration. I truly appreciate it and we are definitely gonna be going back. I absolutely loved my bento box. The flavor was just perfect, as a person that doesn’t like sushi with seaweed. I’ve always gotten sushi with a soy wrap. I gotta say, I tried it, and it was just right. I’m too scared to try new things, but I was willing to try it this time just in case my taste buds decided to enjoy fresh sushi the right way. Thanks again!!! I truly loved it.
Normally, I don’t make such a review, but I gotta say it’s been bothering me since. We came in Wednesday around 6 pm. When me and my family walked in, we stood at the host stand for a good 5 minutes. There was no host available. There was a lady, I would like to say she was a little older than our server, who had came by at least three times to the host stand. She never once said hey to us or even told us that somebody would be right with us, and as confused as we were, we decided to take what we thought were menus to a table that we saw open. so we went there and again was never even greeted by anybody and finally, we kind of spoke to who happened to be our server. Not sure if it was even her section and let her know that nobody has helped us out. She was scrambling going every which way she could, to be honest. The only reason it’s the two stars because our server was as pleasing as she could be. I noticed that she was doing a lot of runaround and nobody wants to be helping her out herself. We had to ask for silverware and real menus, not to take homes that were in the slot at the host stand so we can actually try to order properly. The food was decent. however, refills were not offered. We had to ask after my boyfriend’s drink sat empty for a good 20 minutes. I purposely didn’t overdrink because I noticed that it wasn’t gonna help to get down to nothing clearly nobody was helping each other out It wasn’t great, but I think that has a lot to do with the fact that it took a while and by the time we got it, my food came first with the appetizers after a long wait, my sons came probably 15 minutes after that, followed by my boyfriend who got his pretty late as well. I was done with my food before my son even got his. I know that wasn’t on the servers themselves. Obviously the kitchen was backed up, however whenever we were sitting down originally there was a table that was apparently greeted and brought menus and they came in after us. I’m still in unclear what the secret was to get somebody to greet us at the door while we waited patiently looking around especially when that lady came by three times. I’m just baffled. They actually ended up leaving before us. Clearly their food came out on time and everything. I hope that the next time we do come in that our experience is different.
I like to give places another chance and I do know that my son loved the Ramen. I didn’t enjoy my food as much only because I was not in the best of moods by the time it did come out however maybe the next time I’ll enjoy something different anyway. I hope to be able to rewrite this review again to a better one. I would hate to not go back. All I can say is I don’t know the servers name, but she was excellent as much as she could be.
The service is just as impressive. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is relaxed and clean, with a vibe that works just as well for a casual lunch as it does for a nice dinner out.
If you love Japanese food or even if you’re just curious Otaku is absolutely worth the visit. Great portions, fair prices, and top‑tier flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.
