I’ve had three bad experiences at this place balanced by one good experience. In the first experience I went to the drive-thru and asked for a carton of pralines and cream ice cream. After going back and forth for a while I soon understood that the guy answering the speaker did not speak English And had no idea what pralines and cream ice cream was. I gave up and drove away. In the second experience a nice young kid took my order inside for a cake which was to be picked up 3 days later. Imagine my surprise when I came to pick up the cake and found the order had never been placed and the cake had never been made. They told me the manager wasn’t in but would call me and I received no call. In the last incident just a couple days ago I ordered a hot fudge sundae made with pralines and cream ice cream through the drive-thru. It came with a cap on it. When I got to my destination and opened it up I found out that they had placed ice cream in the cup first then whipped cream on top of the ice cream, and then the whipped cream was covered with chocolate sauce. No hot fudge could be found, And there was no chocolate touching the ice cream. I didn’t want chocolate sauce I wanted hot fudge but regardless I would have eaten it even though it was assembled In a manner that looked like a 3-year-old had done it. On the fourth experience I ordered a single dip cone with pralines and cream inside, and the employee was able to manage that. I should also mention that I filled out an email contact form to the headquarters of Baskin-Robbins when they failed to provide me with the birthday cake I ordered but no one ever responded there either. If asked for suggestions from management I would say turn this into a do-it-yourself ice cream place.

This place has been disappointing both times we’ve gone. The first time they were limited on flavors, the place was very dirty, and the employees were super dismissive. The second time we ordered online to make the process easier and the guy just laughed and said he didn’t see the order so he started making it and there was no one there besides the manager smoking in back. They didn’t have bananas which wasn’t communicated on their site but I guess why would you need Bananas for a banana split? They ended up messing up the order completely, still charging for items they didn’t have and the place was still dirty and the staff was still unprofessional.

I love the ice cream, so I keep giving this place a chance time and time again. Sadly, every time I order, they’re out of almost every flavor I would want. I have tried various times of the day, too, which made no difference. One time, I placed an order for 2-3 fresh packed pints. The delivery person got there and the person working at BR told her there were only a few flavors to pick from and pointed to the fridge…the pre packed stuff. They wouldn’t freshly pack anything they had on hand, and the only two flavors in the pre packed were chocolate and vanilla. So they probably didn’t have much as per the usual, but they did have more flavors than that and still refused them as options…fresh pack means packed upon order; not pre packed in a fridge for the last how ever many days. Needless to say, I outright cancelled that order and felt awful for the delivery person. If I do try now, I send a list of flavors that are cool to substitute with…but they usually are “out” of most of those as well. I see based on the reviews that it isn’t just me having bad luck or bad timing; this is an issue across the board. Either stay stocked up on most of the flavors and actually freshly pack when ordered as such, or just shut it down and let another business take over that area of the property…one that will do what it advertises. I remember being so overjoyed when I heard a BR was coming to Sussex!! Just to be disappointed in the end. When they first opened, these issues weren’t present. I’d say over the last year or so, these issues have developed with no sign of changing for the better. Apathetic is how I’d describe the employees I’ve met (with some exceptions.) If this changes at some point, I’ll gladly update my review. Thank you!

One younger employee working. Good for them but it was impossible for them to handle drive thru and walk in orders. I got two small scoops for $8 plus tax. Kids loved them of course but that price is pretty steep
For ice cream in the area. The Culver’s next door has kids scoops for half the cost. Wasn’t a bad experience but we won’t be back.

I’ve come here several times for the $2 medium iced coffees. However, I realized that they were overcharging me the majority of the time when I would go. I didn’t realize immediately because I was usually ordering more than one. When I brought this the attention of the girl working she acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about or how to give me the difference. The last straw was when I used my credit card and they charged the full price but the receipt reflected the discount and they were supposed to give me almost $4 in change. I received no change. I emailed corporate and this was passed on to someone named Daniella who emailed me and basically implied I was lying and they don’t give change on credit card orders and the discount is always taken off when the code is scanned on the app. I again emailed corporate and received no response. Overcharging customers and keeping the change is a shady business practice.

The customer service here is spotty at times as well. I’ve been in the drive thru behind people and nobody would wait on them and they sat for over 5 min and no other customers were in the store or in front of them.

I can understand being short staffed but basically stealing from customers is a hard no for me to return to this business.

I was excited to come here with my kids since I noticed this place recently opened up. It’s so dirty here – all three lower tables had food all over them, chairs had crumbs all over them, floor was covered in ice cream and spilled drinks, trash was over flowing. I’d be a little more understanding if they were packed and short staffed…but that wasn’t the case. All of this while 4 young employees stood around talking in an empty place. It looks like a place with employees who just don’t care at all. Management should be ashamed of how this place looks. Don’t waste your time – find another place to get ice cream and donuts. The ice cream and donuts were okay – but donuts were dry and ice cream had a ton of freezer burn on it.
