Steve G runs the joint with a grin and just enough mischief to keep the night lively, and Paula’s back there in the kitchen working her magic like a rockstar in an apron. Her baked French onion soup alone deserves its own fan club — the real deal, bubbling and golden, like a warm hug in a bowl.
The menu? Pure comfort done right. Burgers, sandwiches, pizza, chicken dinners — every plate comes out looking like it knows it’s about to make someone’s day. And somehow, between the laughter, the chatter, and the clinking glasses, you realize you’ve stumbled into a little pocket of Wisconsin heaven.
The whole crew is aces — friendly, fast, and full of good cheer. The drinks are poured with love, the company’s as good as the grub, and there’s a feeling in the air that says you’re among friends here.

We tried a new restaurant yesterday evening, The Grove. I had the perch, my wife had the fried cod. Very good, did not disappoint at all. Drinks were very reasonably priced. The French onion soup was very good!

Absolutely excellent food! I had the Rueben and my husband had the bacon cheeseburger. Both were great, the dressing on the Rueben was housemate and delicious. The bartender and cook were both friendly and attentive.

Me and a buddy drove up from Indiana and were starving. They were technically closed and were nice enough to reopen and made some of the best burgers I have eaten in a long time. The old fashioneds were the best I have ever had. I would recommend this place to everyone great food and even better people.
