I had the opportunity to try Just Jerks recently when my employer brought in their food truck this week. I ordered the jerk chicken rice bowl. The chicken was wonderful with a good amount of seasoning and heat. The mango salsa was delicious as were the fried plaintains I got on the side. The rice was only mediocre but didn’t take away from the rest of the meal. I’m not a rice fan anyway! They have soft tacos too I want to try next time – either chicken or salmon. There is a vegetarian bowl too. Recommended 🙂

They stopped by my workplace and I ordered an island rice box with a side of fried plantains.
When I got back to my desk and dug in, I couldn’t help but mutter “Wow.” Since losing a good portion of my smell/taste after covid last year, I haven’t tasted something so vividly until that first forkful. Absolutely delicious, and super filling. The sweet plantains were a lovely addition, and piping hot.
I won’t have a choice in the future at any food truck rally if I spot the green truck again. These are the best ‘jerks’ you could hope to meet!

I really didn’t know how to rate this food truck only because the food had good flavor but not quite like the jamaican food we’ve had IN Jamaica. The other problem I had was that I assumed for the price that was posted/charged that we were getting more than a kid sampler portion. There were just chicken pieces cut up in the rice and I ordered my bae plantains but we got 2 small pieces. The portion sizes of another jamaican truck does a better job of comparable price to portion. Again, the food was good but was missing the “flavor”. When I got my bag I even had to ask if both orders were in it. When the woman said, “yes”, I was confused. The containers were sooo small and for the $13??? Nooo

Review for be restaurant is pending. Review for Jerkmania before it closed down: I loved this place! The food is amazing and that’s all I care about. Everything is prepared to order for the most part. They sell beef pies for $2 a piece on weekdays and those are really delicious! That being said, I don’t recommend their fries of plantains as they’re a bit soggy and plenty oily, but that’s not their specialty to begin with.

HORRIBLE in every way. Went with a few friends to try this place. Food was not prepared as ordered, was missing ingredients and our friends didn’t get their fries or drinks until their main dishes were half eaten. The manager blamed it on “the rush”, but we were the only dine in customers and they had TWO to-go orders while we were there. The manager was OK, but didn’t do anything to get us to come back. The other kids working there were terribly rude and made us all feel unwelcome. AVOID THIS PLACE!
