Every single dish we tried was a hit. The duck taquitos were packed with flavor, the blackened redfish was perfectly cooked, and the filet was tender and spot-on. The brisket balls were rich and crave-worthy, the tomato basil bisque and soup of the day were comforting and well-balanced, and the drinks were… let’s just say expertly crafted and very enjoyable.
And dessert? The cinnamon roll cheesecake was the kind of finale you keep thinking about long after you leave. Unreal.
What truly set the experience apart, though, was the service. The staff- Diana and Maria were incredibly attentive, warm, and welcoming, striking that perfect balance of professional and personable. To top it off, the owner, Victor came out to chat with us, which always says a lot about a place that genuinely cares about its guests.
Outstanding food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere—Bucket & Rope has absolutely earned its spot on our Dallas must-visit list. We’ll be back.
We started with the brisket balls and the duck taquitos and WOW—both were absolutely delicious. I also tried one of their adult beverages, which was just as good. For our entrées, we ordered the salmon, and it was excellent—perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
There were a few mosquitos on the patio, but our server noticed right away and quickly brought out repellent, which we appreciated. Great service goes a long way!
All in all, Bucket and Rope is a great spot for dinner, and we’ll definitely be back.
I got the butternut squash soup and wasn’t impressed. It didn’t really taste like anything. Not even butternut squash. It was more watery than I’m used to from butternut squash soup.
I ordered the Chicken fried chicken and it was ok. Nothing I’d order again. The grits were god-awful. I don’t know what was in them but I did not like them. I wouldn’t go back but I wouldn’t tell others not to try it.
Had the salmon tartar, tomato bisque, duck and rope pasta, Norwegian salmon. Every single dish was very nicely prepared. Will definitely visit here during my next visit!
Service was excellent from start to finish. The bartender went above and beyond — great conversation, very attentive, and made me feel warm and welcome. The food came out quickly, and everything looked as good as it tasted.
Overall, this place delivers on both food and hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in Dallas. Highly recommend!
Maria made the evening even more special. She was incredibly warm and attentive, and her recommendations were absolutely perfect. She’s a real treasure and made us feel so welcome and comfortable.
And special thanks to the singing party at the next table
We left happy and full 🙂 Already looking forward to visiting again when we are next time in Dallas. Totally recommending it!
Bucket and Rope is the perfect spot for a Saturday brunch. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish came out just right and felt crafted with care.
The service made the experience unforgettable. Victor Hugo and Maria were outstanding—attentive, professional, and so welcoming. They anticipated our needs, offered great suggestions, and made sure everything flowed seamlessly.
Between the incredible food and the exceptional service, Bucket and Rope is a brunch experience worth repeating. Thanks to Victor Hugo and Maria, it was a five-star Saturday all around!
Before I get into the food, I want to give a shoutout to Vincent, who waited on us. He was a total rockstar at managing the lunch rush, and had a great attitude. There was one other FOH staff who was helping him out, and she was very nice as well, but Vincent was working so hard! The chef came out to us at obne point too, to check on how we liked everything. The employees were all great and provided stellar service.
We started with the Duck Taquitos and Bacon & Brie Quesadillas. The taquitos were awesome, perfectly crispy with well-balanced and pronounced flavors. Super satisfying to eat. The quesadillas weren’t my favorite, just because I don’t think the mild flavor of brie is super compelling in a quesadilla. My husband and friend thought they were ok, but needed more bacon. I ordered the Fish Tacos and the Beet & Cucumber Salad; both were fabulous! My only issue with the tacos was that I think there was too much slaw/salad topping on them and made them hard to eat. I’d get them again, but ask for the slaw on the side so I can just add as much as I want, and eat the rest as a sort of side salad. The chips it came with were homemade and delicious. My husband got the Ham & Cheese Melt and loved it–I didn’t try it but the fries it came with were superb. Our friend got the BLT and he was really happy with it as well. We didn’t order any alcoholic drinks, but I did look at the menu and the happy hour menu and think the prices are extremely reasonable for the location and quality. I plan on going back for happy hour for sure; the large patio is very inviting and is a great way to make the most of the space.
