If you haven’t been to Shaka Donuts, you’re missing out!

Not only are the donuts absolutely delicious, but they also serve ice cream which made our decision easy. We went with a donut ice cream sandwich, and it was the perfect sweet treat for the night. And the coffee was just as impressive and the perfect complement to dessert.

What truly made the experience special, though, was Tam, the owner. Tam was an absolute delight. She took the time to chat with us while we enjoyed our treats, making us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated.

Great desserts, great coffee, and even better hospitality. We’ll definitely be back! ✨

Stopped into Shaka Donuts on Curry Ford early one morning around 8:15 a.m. on my way home. The shop was empty at the time, no one behind the counter when I first walked in, but someone popped out from the kitchen within a few seconds. The young lady who came out was polite but couldn’t really answer my questions about the donut breakfast sandwich, so she went to get someone from the back who was able to help and finalize my order.

I ordered the Maple Bacon Donut, the Samoa Donut, and a Donut Breakfast Sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese. The Maple Bacon Donut was a bit of a disappointment for me, but the Samoa Donut was fantastic, sweet, rich, and full of flavor. The breakfast sandwich was really good; warm, gooey, and the perfect mix of sweet and savory, with soft, fluffy eggs.

The shop itself is cute and inviting, with cheerful colors and a fun vibe. They also serve ice cream, and although it was too early for it to be out, the flavors on display looked great, we’ll definitely stop back in to try some. As I was leaving, I overheard someone ordering the Boston Cream Pie Donut, so that’s on my list for next time!

All in all, a friendly local spot with some great options. A few small tweaks and it would easily be a 5-star experience.

Had this blueberry cream cheese donut, that was magically delicious. The soft airy donut with fluffy cream cheese and this purple topping made me feel like I haven’t had a donut in years it was amazing great start to my week long birthday. Also the woman who greeted me was amazing and nice will definitely return for a 730am donut!

Shaka Donuts is a trendy, clean-lined spot that leans into a crisp, modern aesthetic. It feels curated rather than casual, with a quiet confidence that comes from knowing exactly what it wants to be: a boutique stop for specialty donuts, not an everyday bakery.

Service is typically handled by a single person at the counter, following the early morning preparation and donut creations. That lean operation gives the shop an intimate feel, though it also underscores its limits when even a modest flow of customers arrives. The current is usually slow, matching the calm tone of the space.

The donuts themselves favor seasonal and creative offerings, more specialty than daily staples. They are thoughtfully made, but the prices are higher, encouraging restraint rather than indulgence. This is not a place that invites you to buy by the dozen; it is a place where you choose one or two and move on.

The coffee is surprisingly good and, notably, comes with refills—an uncommon gesture in a shop of this style. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, which I found genuinely satisfying and a welcome complement to the sweets. I was able to sit, enjoy my food, and work for a while, though with the limited seating, it felt as if lingering too long might impose on the space. The room is slim, designed more for turnover than for settling in.

Shaka succeeds within its niche, but that niche is narrow. I find myself wishing for a broader variety of donuts, a lower price point that would encourage abundance rather than caution, and more ample seating, both inside and out. Those changes could transform it from a pleasant stop into a true neighborhood staple.

As it stands, Shaka Donuts is a solid option for a thoughtful treat and a good cup of coffee—enjoyable, but not compelling enough to seek out often.

My rating: ★★★☆☆
1 star — I will never return.
2 stars — If nearby, I might return, but without urgency.
3 stars — Worth a visit if in the area, though not a destination in itself.
4 stars — Worth going out of your way to enjoy.
5 stars — I would fly around the world for this meal.

First time really trying the donuts since I moved to Orlando, Florida since living in Rhode Island and let me just tell you They are amazing the blueberry one in particular along with the pumpkin pie and the apple pie desserts along with the original glazed doughnut.
These are some of the best donuts I’ve tried here and I definitely think you should try them too.

We had such a great surprise!✨
The apple pie donut was extremely delicious, and so was the hot chocolate!!! The service was amazing, the way she explained each donut flavor made me want to try them all… Looking forward to come again and try the blueberry and lemon ones…☺️✨

Cute establishment and friendly workers. Unfortunately donuts look better than they taste. The oreo donut filling didn’t have much flavor, and the Boston creme filling was just okay. However, the apple donut was delicious.

Shaka Donuts is hands-down my new favorite donut spot in Orlando! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is bright, fresh, and welcoming — and the smell of fresh-baked goodness hits you right away.

I tried the Creamsicle donut, and wow… it’s a perfect balance of citrusy sweetness and soft, pillowy dough. You can taste the care in every bite. I also grabbed a cup of their mini donut holes (both glazed and cinnamon sugar), and they were absolutely addictive — fluffy, fresh, and perfectly coated.

The staff here is friendly, fast, and genuinely happy to be there, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s clear they take pride in their craft, and it shows in both the presentation and flavor.

If you’re in Orlando, especially near Curry Ford, you owe it to yourself to stop in. Whether you’re a donut purist or an adventurous flavor-seeker, Shaka Donuts will have something you love.

We just finished dinner and saw this and decided to stop in . Thank god we did ! I am not sure if it was the owner who walked out in her cute donut top, but she sold me immediately with the description of each and every donut . I’ll be honest , my friends are the donut lovers and I am not, but once she went through each one .. I had to try ! They’re the type of donuts you don’t see anywhere , legit it’s a place like “ if I don’t try it now , when will I ever “ type of place . And to top it all off, she literally threw in extra donuts and gave us the donut holes . The cashier was super friendly and sweet. Super clean and cute atmosphere!! I would highly recommend !

Wife and I stopped in after dinner at F&D in the same parking lot (sidebar: excellent Italian restaurant) and the two ladies behind the counter were so incredibly nice, welcomed us in, offered recommendations, were generally conversation, incredible service. The donuts are somehow bigger than they look. Don’t ask me but in the case they looked maybe half of what they ended up being. So we have giant pastries served by nice people, and the price is super reasonable. We will be going back again!
