I finally got to try this spot out and get pho for the 1st time & it was pretty good! The spring rolls are 10/10! So good, and they are bigger/longer than the normal sized spring rolls. I got the well done beef pho & loved that all the toppings were separated for you to add as you please. It was plentiful! This store serving alone was 3 servings for me. The broth has a very peculiar scent/taste, and I can’t pinpoint what it is but it was slightly offputting until I added my own things. Maybe it was the beef broth. I’ll try another broth next time. I will be back to try other things, especially the Thai fried rice I saw on the menu. I’d come here just for the spring rolls if anything, lol! Great price for all the pho you get.

Great place! I have ordered food from here a few times to go, had delivery and dined in once. The food is always delicious (pad thai, beef pho and pad-see-ew) and the customer service is good. Not really a fan of the dining area, it seems better for a take out place.

I ordered the red curry chicken and was very disappointed. The curry sauce lacked flavor, had minimal vegetables, and was extremely watered down. The only positive was that it had a decent level of spice. I also tried the summer roll, which was huge and actually tasted pretty good—honestly, the only reason this isn’t a one-star review. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return, but others may want to try it and form their own opinion.

I don’t understand the 4 stars people give here. I bought a $14 bowl of Pho, and it was served in plastic container. Disgusting. I don’t care about the atmosphere or service .. but they can do better in terms of food quality.

I just got back from an incredible six-week adventure in Vietnam and Thailand, and I’ve been craving authentic Vietnamese pho ever since. After doing a little research, I decided to drive to Viet-Thai Restaurant, and let me tell you— it was absolutely worth the trip!

I ordered a large bowl of pho, and it did not disappoint! The broth was rich, flavorful, and had that perfect depth I had missed. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the generous portion of tender meat was a delightful surprise.

What really stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients. Everything tasted so authentic, like I had just stepped into a local eatery back in Vietnam. Plus, the staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better.

If you’re craving high-quality pho or just looking for a taste of Vietnam right here at home, Viet-Thai Restaurant is the place to be. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings! Highly recommend!

Well I went Viet –Thai on Friday 5/22/26 at 1:00pm because I wanted to try a PHÖ place near me instead of driving cross town. The restaurant is very clean and basic; a sparce, cold atmosphere.

I asked for the PHÖ with well done beef and 2 shrimp spring rolls and iced coffee for dine in. They don’t have iced coffee which is available in almost every PHÖ restaurant I’ve ever been to. That would be a key to what I was going to experience. When they called me up to get my order I was kind of taken aback! I said to the lady, “ I asked for dine in, for here.” She said “yes, this is.”

On a tray was a good sized covered to go bowl, a covered quart container of broth, a styrofoam to go box, a zip lock bag bean sprouts, a package of cutlery and a package of chop sticks.

In the bowl was pre-prepared beef slices, noodles, chopped green and white onion, basil and cilantro leaves and slices of jalapeno. I tasted the broth before pouring into the bowl and realized it was CHICKEN BROTH! REALLY???!! Once combined the overall flavor was okay but not the hearty beefy flavor I believe PHÖ should have. The beef slices were of a cheap, fatty texture. (See photos)

The spring rolls were large but, full of mostly shredded lettuce and two shrimp. The “peanut sauce” was sweet and ginger but, not “peanutty”.

I did notice that of the ten of us eating in the restaurant, eight were eating Thai. Only two of us were eating PHÖ; and the other patron had a traditional bowl of PHÖ. When I asked how come I didn’t get my PHÖ in that way, the woman said he was “special customer”…REALLY?

Sooo… I have eaten at several PHÖ restaurants in the Central Avenue area. Viet-Thai’s PHÖ is adequate but lacks the heartiness true flavor of an authentic PHÖ. The reviewer that said Viet-Thai’s PHÖ was the best around apparently hasn’t experienced much in the way of real PHÖ. I will have to happily continue to drive over to Central Ave. to get real, authentic PHÖ. It’s worth the drive!!

Dine in, takeout, pickup and doordash is available here. If you decide to dine in, you place your order, pay and then they’ll call you to pickup your food when it’s ready. The rest is self serve including your drink. The food was okay, probably not my first choice for Thai or viet food but it can be a quick fix. I was kind of disappointed even with the egg rolls because I was expecting an authentic vietnamese egg roll but it was just a plain spring roll you would get at chinese takeout. It’s not really my taste. I also just felt like something was missing in the pad kee mao…it was filled with onions and veggies…I could barely find any noodles or meat too. 🙁 Overall, the price was okay and the flavor was okay. It’s not the best place but the food is fresh and staff is nice.
