Rosie’s is really one of those hidden gems of New Canaan. It is extremely family friendly, as we’ve brought our own kids here, and we’ve seen multiple families come through in the times we’ve been here, as well. The huevos rancheros is to die for. Their sweet treats alone are worth the visit. The pistachio and blueberry muffins are personal favorites. The decor is always perfect for the seasonal vibe. Whoever decorated inside has a refined appreciation of art without overdoing it. Eat outside if the weather is nice, but you won’t miss out if you choose to sit in, either. Come and enjoy yourself.

Really amazing brunch here. The fresh squeezed OJ is amazing. The selection of muffins is epic. Had the lobster Benedict and it did not disappoint. Their roasted potatoes are a highlight as well. They come with a lot of dishes. Highly recommend this place. Wait times can be a little long on the weekends, they don’t take reservations

Stopped by for a late lunch and decided to order the Brioche French Toast with berries and the Rosie Smash Burger. After we placed our order, our server let us know that the burger usually comes with two patties, but they only had one available and it would still be charged at full price. We decided to skip the burger and just stick with the French Toast.

Visually, the French Toast looked great but once we took a bite, it was a different story. The toast was way too soggy, and all we could taste was the egg mixture. The bread itself was completely lost, which was really disappointing.

Maybe some of the other menu items are better, but based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend the French Toast.

We visited Rosie for brunch on a Sunday around noon and were quickly seated at a nice table outside with a wonderful view. The menu had lots of great options and all the food we tried was fantastic, especially the Louisiana crab cakes. They had a good amount of spice and flavour. My only complaint was that it took quite a long time to get our food, and no one was really checking up on our table. It must have been busy inside so other than that, it was a good experience.

Nestled in the heart of town, this bustling brunch spot exudes a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere. The moment you step inside, the cheerful chatter of children fills the air, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The establishment boasts a delightful cupcake case, showcasing an array of whimsically decorated treats that immediately capture the attention of both young and old.

The menu is a perfect blend of wholesome salads and delectable brunch options, catering to a diverse range of tastes. Families with kids find a haven here, as the menu features child-friendly choices, ensuring even the pickiest eaters leave with satisfied smiles. The colorful decor and playful wall art contribute to the restaurant’s kid-centric charm.

However, the popularity of this charming brunch spot often leads to a bustling crowd. The wait, though worthwhile, can be a tad lengthy during peak hours. Yet, the vibrant atmosphere and delicious offerings make it a go-to destination for families seeking a delightful brunch experience, making the wait a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of a memorable dining adventure.

3.2.24 I would have given this visit a 5, but unfortunately, although my breakfast burrito tasted great, I didn’t get it until 25-35 minutes AFTER all my friends got their dishes and finished eating. I have no idea what happened. The waiter apologized and brought our table one cookie to share, to make me feel better. But it was quite uncomfortable to sit there, watch my friends eat, waiting for what was a simple order and seeing 3 other tables get their food. But besides that, the venue has a great ambiance. The baked goods look amazing, and the coffee was served hot and in a huge mug. So all positives there. I’m sure my experience was just a one-off. And no, they didn’t take anything ‘off’ my bill. And that’s ok. I’m not one of those people who expects that.

Nice cozy spot but no area, table or space for those that are ordering for take out. Certain items were not on the menu so I had to ask if it was available and the person responded and looked at me as if I had 3 eyeballs. Food was ok, should of had options for syrup.

My family and I had a positively stellar gastronomic experience! The huevos rancheros are the best this side of the Mississippi, the lobster club is gargantuan and to die for, and the muffins are world beaters. We’ve been coming for years and the quality has always been consistent, hughly recommended.

This was brunch. Was busy, but not overwhelming. Absolutely satisfying. Outstanding staff. Delicious options. We started a pot of tea along with the blueberry muffin. This was recommended by the waiter. A perfect balance of crunch on top and fluff in the middle. We ordered the Superico burrito and the chorizo burrito. Both bursting with flavors. If you are a cheese fan get the Superico. If you want a bit of a kick, rock the chorizo. I couldn’t decide what I liked better, however, I got the best of both worlds. Sharing is caring. 🙂 Rosie’s is a place to revisit. I’m looking forward to trying everything on that menu.
