Jalea, not only is one of the most exquisite and famous dishes of Peru nationally and internationally, Jalea is a dream realized but at the same time motivated by my father, Mr. Fernando Jaches, who always had the desire to open a restaurant, for being a bohemian man and lover of typical music to offer an atmosphere for our Peruvian community and other countries that knew not only our exquisite dishes but also our culture. Together with my mother, Mrs. Flora Jaches, I grew up enjoying the typical dishes and desserts with its limeño seasoning and that special homemade touch, that’s why I invite you to visit Jalea Peruvian Cuisine , where you will enjoy a little corner of Peru and you will feel like in your house, we wait for you in JALEA.

Wow!! This restaurant is a true gem.
First, if you are thinking of dining here for the first time- do not second guess yourself. You will not be disappointed.
This was one of the best Peruvian restaurants I’ve been too.
We came here for my sister’s 50th birthday dinner. The staff was so attentive and courteous. They even brought out our cake and sang happy birthday with maracas and beautiful music .
The food was sensational!!!
We ordered the Tacu Tacu, lomo saltado, steak with shrimp and garlic sauce and the seafood rice dish (can’t remember the name – not the chaufa) and everything was delicious. As much as I loved my own dish, I couldn’t stop staring at everyone else’s dish , and they all looked so scrumptious. The food envy was real .
The cocktails are amazing too!! The ambience is bright, yet cozy.
It was such a great experience and we are looking forward to coming back again.
11/10 experience .

Authentic, delicious Peruvian food in an upscale setting. Jalea portions was generous, Lomo Saltado could’ve used more beef. Passionfrujt drink perfect mix of sour and sweet. Will definitely come again. Small parking lot right outside, very convenient.

My friend had been raving about this Peruvian restaurant, and I finally made it out to Long Island to have a try. As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. It was early in the day, so we decided to sit at the bar, which was a great choice. The bartender was very attentive and nice. Started off with a Classic and Passionfruit Caipirinha. For our entree, we had the Ceviche Mixto and the Tallerinos Verde, which was delicious. Would definitely recommend if you’re out in Hicksville, Long Island.

My absolute favorites were the Chicken Chaufa and Ceviche—both were packed with authentic flavors and perfectly prepared.
