we spent forever trying to find good lobster rolls in Maine this season, and this place finally delivered! the lobster roll was generous and fresh, and the shrimp/lobster mac and cheese was rich and cheesy. Wayne, the owner, was such a joy to talk to and made us feel really welcome. so glad we found this spot definitely recommend if you’re nearby.

We expected a bit more from a place with all those 5-star reviews.
The lobster roll came out pretty drenched in butter — tasty, but heavy, and there wasn’t really an option to go lighter.
The spot itself has potential and the owner is super friendly, but the overall vibe could use a little more polish to match the hype.

This review is for the shrimp scampi dish available for order online for delivery across the US.

After a shipping carrier mess up, Wayne was quick to fix the issue and ship a replacement. I value a company that is so responsive and accountable.

As for the dish itself it is a solid 5/5. Generously and professionally seasoned, soooo many shrimp, cheesy, creamy…everything you want in a restaurant quality dish you get to enjoy im the comfort of your home. I warmed it up stovetop medium low heat 15-17 mins. The two portions are each enough for two people or a very hungry me.

Also the shrimp are fresh caught which ive heard is better than the farm raised ones. And they def have a better taste. My one critique is if they could cut the salt by 10-25 percent id love it even more.

Since the delivery issue happened, I lost my ability to review on the other site so I am reviewing here.

I stopped in specifically for the lobster rolls and ordered two — one mayo and one butter. The mayo roll was so good it was gone before I could even get a picture! The butter roll was absolutely delicious too. I loved that it had smaller pieces of lobster packed with flavor and no empty airspace. Totally worth the trip — I came all the way from South Carolina on my birthday just for this, and it did NOT disappoint!

Stopped by on our honeymoon road trip up the Maine coastline and safe to say this is one of the highlights of our trip- what a gem of a local establishment! Wayne is second to none, what a wholesome down to earth human and more importantly when he switches into the Alaskan Captain and makes the lobster rolls in the kitchen it is hands down one of the top 3 foods we have eaten ever! Freshly made to order lobster rolls with no air space and no fillers, all meat! We’ve visited 5 continents over 17 countries, alongside over 60 US towns across on several states occasions. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE VISIT THIS PLACE, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. 5*

Let me tell ya, Wayne is a national treasure. He is EXACTLY who you want making your lobster roll and clam chowder—A Maine native turned Alaskan ship captain. The lobster rolls are stuffed to the brim with tender meat dripping with butter and tastefully dressed with mayo. I’d happily travel back to Maine to experience this place again!

It was one of our last days in Maine and I was on a mission to find the best lobster roll I could find. When I read the Yelp and Google reviews for this place, I knew I had found my spot.

It’s a small, no frills spot. The owner is super helpful and friendly. He’ll proudly tell you why his lobster roll is the best.

He uses claw meat which makes it sweeter. The pieces are very small, so it is loaded with meat. The popular rolls you see use giant chunks of meat, but with all of the space between them, this one actually has more meat even if it doesn’t seem like it. And lastly, he uses both butter and mayo on it.

I don’t think I’ll ever find a better lobster roll for the rest of my life. My husband claimed lobster rolls were overrated until we had this one. My only regret is that this was our second stop for food, so my husband and I shared one.

To top it all off, this was the cheapest meal we had in Maine. Most places will charge you at least $35-40 for anything that has lobster in it. I think we paid $20-$25 for our roll.

Whenever I’m in Maine, I will come here for another lobster roll, no matter how far out of my way I have to go.
