Absolutely delicious meal and excellent service! We had the watermelon salad which was so refreshing with just a hint of spice plus the crunch of the pistachios and the creamy mascarpone were just perfect. The lobster Mac and cheese was so creamy with huge chunks of lobster. The Elote was perfectly grilled and lightly sweet. The bread platter came with a delightful slightly spicy sauce. I had a mocktail with ginger and pineapple and it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal.

LOVED IT! This restaurant has been numerous things in the past 8 years but this was incredible. The french 75 was refreshing and the margarita was really yummy. The watermelon and feta cheese salad was not something i would normally get but we tried it and it was so good. The bread was fantastic and we dipped it in the sauce of the shrimp which had this delectable spiciness to it. The elotes were exactly what you want and they came with a lemon wedge which is different from the usual lime but it worked. The cauliflower was spectacular and the wings were seasoned beautifully and were fantastic.

Great evening. Nicely appointed and quiet upstairs-even when most tables were occupied. Outstanding duo of young servers who had been trained properly. Salsa accompanying oysters was unique and amazing. Wings excellent. We split a vindaloo pork- a little chewy but the sauce was beyond good. Maybe chicken or tofu next time. Excellent wine by the glass selection. The star was a well presented whole piece of watermelon that had been seared-I think— to maximize sweetness- add pistachios and feta. Have this for dessert! Met the owner and chatted about NC. Very nice man. Even overheard a guest with a nice SC or GA accent next table over. Made us feel right at home Definitely recommend.

Helltown Kitchen is highly recommended! We sat in the courtyard – it was very cute and private. My partner had the Chicken Vindaloo and I had the Seafood Paella which was great! They have vegan options available.

I recently dined at Helltown Kitchen in Provincetown and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere set the tone for an enjoyable evening.
Ambience & Service
The décor strikes a nice balance — cozy yet stylish. Soft lighting, tasteful accents, and the buzz of happy diners made it feel lively without being overwhelming. Our server was attentive, friendly, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience.
Food & Drinks
Helltown Kitchen offers creative, globally inspired dishes that go beyond the usual. A few highlights from our meal:
• Lobster Risotto — rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. A standout.
• Flat Iron Steak — cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender with a savory crust.
• Indian Pork Vindaloo — a bold, spicy twist; complex without being overbearing.
• Venezuelan Arepa — delightful — crisp on the outside, soft inside, with flavorful fillings.

Disappointed to be posting this review but recently went with a group of friends (9 people total) for a special celebration and had such a poor experience. They were careless with cross-contamination of food and for a 7:30 reservation, we didn’t eat anything until after 8:30 pm.
We chose this restaurant because it was well-liked by friends and family. We arrived at the time of our reservation and the host told us our table would be ready in 10 min, it was ready over 30 min later. Once seated, it took over 15 min for a server to come take our order, he stated the kitchen was backed up and that’s why he was delayed. When we were placing orders, he said there was no cross-contamination between seafood and the fryer used for french fries. He then said that he actually wasn’t sure about cross-contamination and recommended someone in our party avoid French fries, just in case (they have a severe seafood allergy). Broccolini was provided as a substitute, however, it arrived cold. The server then microwaved the food to re-heat it. For the gluten allergy, the person requested a salad without breadcrumbs and the salad had to be re-fired.
The food was delicious however the floor staff made the experience incredibly unpleasant, they were disorganized and uncommunicative. The floor manager never checked in, despite walking past our table multiple times and seeing us waiting. We tried to contact the restaurant afterwards to raise our concerns and they have not replied, despite us paying over $70 per person for this dinner.

Luckily I had reserved dinner for the six of us a few weeks ago. This was the only dinner that we had in P town that everybody in the group raved about. There wasn’t a single dish that people were unhappy with. We had a great table on the outdoor terrace. Our server was energetic and kind, we had terrific cocktails and the food was just delicious. The place was pretty busy so I think they will be able to make it through the pandemic, especially because I hope to return next summer!

We had an amazing dinner at Helltown! Everyone was very friendly and the food was fantastic! We started with some great cocktails. The outdoor courtyard creates a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We ordered Gazpacho and Elote corn as appetizers which were great. Then Goat cheese salad and the Helltown kitchen salad. These were awesome and again very generous portions. For entrees we orders the Caribbean Seafood stew and the Tofu Vindaloo which were amazingly flavorful. For dessert we shared the delicious deconstructed strawberry shortcake. Great value for money and we left full! We will definitely be back.

July 2023: Helltown kitchen has a lovely outdoor patio, about a dozen tables nestled between two buildings, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Commercial street. During dinner the building provided shade, and you still get the ocean breeze. Very pleasant. The menu is innovative, the food well prepared, the service was attentive.

The ceviche soured our dinner. Served in a small glass (i.e. chia pudding) there were small-sized fillets of a fibrous fish in an acidic watery sauce that had been so overpowered by lime it was not only hard to eat but tasted like nothing. “Prepared in the traditional Peruvian style”… Well I just came from Lima, Peru and not only does this failed experiment not resemble anything that I consider “Peruvian style” or even had the proper cut or presentation of a Peruvian ceviche but it made the ranking for the WORST most HORRIFIC ceviche I have eaten in my life. Recommendation to the chef: Drop it off the menu and start from scratch. Re: the rest of the food we ordered was average with super long wait times. Portions were measly
