I had dinner by myself here and absolutely enjoyed my experience. It is a very cozy inviting atmosphere. This place was recommended to me so you know you always walk in with some expectation and my expectations were surpassed. My pictures aren’t the best because I started eating the second the food arrived and forgot to let me camera eat first haha! BUT trust me the food was delicious, everything very fresh and flavorful! The staff is very kind and attentive. The owner was present and seeing how he interacts with all of his patrons you can tell he takes pride in what he does! Thank you for a wonderful dinner Old City Cafe, I’ll be back with friends next time!

Visiting the area and I always order Lebanese food the first night. Was not disappointed and absolutely inhaled this dinner. The shish tawook was juicy, flavorful and had great spice, tabouleh was some of the best I’ve had, fresh and perfectly seasoned (not too salty, not too lemony). The rest of it was just perfect and don’t get me started on that pistachio ricotta dessert because I’m going to be thinking about that probably for the rest of my life. Excited for leftovers!

Absolutely amazing! Old City Cafe and Grill in Cranford is one of our favorite local spots. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. We especially love the spicy shish tawook chicken, tabouli, and spinach pies — each one is perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious! There’s something for everyone including our vegetarian friends.
The staff is warm, welcoming, and truly make you feel like family every time you visit. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a nice meal.
I recommend going with a group and sharing multiple dishes. Definitely save room for desert, specifically the pistachio cheesecake.

The pita bread was warm. The falafel was okay, I’d skip the salad and rice with it. The other dips were average tasting to slightly stale. The food surely could be better. Nice looking interiors.

The food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Dogan, was very polite and friendly, and he gave great recommendations when we weren’t sure what to order.

I almost never leave a bad reviews, but the food here was really bad. People that are giving this place a higher rating, please leave Crandford and go explore restaurants in other places. My experience with the food was sad, to an extent that I would have been way happier going to a Chipotle. I wouldn’t call this Lebanese cuisine, it felt like a lot of the food was like the frozen type you can get from Lidl.

We got the seafood mix with red snapper and it was a good portion for us. All the food was seasoned deliciously and to perfection. The juicy shrimp was to die for and I could have eaten 20 of them. The salmon cooked to a perfect medium also was delectable.
The manager/owner was incredibly accomodating. My girlfriend is allergic to cinnamon and there are certain spices that have it but you wouldn’t know. The manager triple checked (of her own choice) with the cook staff to make fully sure there was no cinnamon in anything we got.
The food was very good here and I can’t wait to come back.

We came to this restaurant to try Lebanese food, drove 24 miles especially. And we were not disappointed. The falafel sandwich was authentic, like in Lebanon and even better, very tasty . The mezze were delicious, the baba ganoush was tender and smoky, the muhammara was sweet , a little spicy and sour with a hint of walnut, it was delicious. The kubbe was superb, juicy meat and onions inside and crispy on the outside. Very beautiful and stylish interior, nice Arabic music. Excellent service, we met Mr. Rafi, the owner of the restaurant, it was very nice of him to pay attention to us as his guests. He is a very hospitable and friendly , we wish good luck to him in his business and further development. At the end of the meal we were treated to baklava on the house, thank you very much, it was very nice. Looking forward to coming back here again.

My husband and I broke our fast here, and we absolutely loved everything! The service was incredibly fast—no wait time at all. The food was fresh and full of flavor, but the baba ghanoush was the real standout—an absolute must-try! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious Lebanese cuisine with excellent service.
