I came all the way from Los Angeles and have had Persian food everywhere, but nothing compares to the koobideh, barg, and shish kebab at this hidden gem in OC. The flavors were unreal—hands down the best I’ve ever had.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service? Absolutely top-notch, they are as genuine as it gets—kind, welcoming, and truly passionate about his food.
This is 100% homemade Persian gourmet at its finest. I’m still thinking about it. ❤️

I had a wonderful experience at 7Grill. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. You could really taste the authenticity in every bite. The customer service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. They made sure we had everything we needed and were happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations. The atmosphere was also a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting ambiance that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Persian food in a comfortable and friendly setting!!

Wow! Do not let the outside of this building deceive you, this restaurant is beautiful inside! The atmosphere and music were so relaxing. The waitress was so sweet and personable. She recommended all the good stuff. Do not skip on the hummus and dinner salad, you will not be disappointed. We had the chicken and steak shish-kabobs and both were melt in your mouth delicious! We will be back on our next visit to California.

Drove past it today and I noticed an entirely renovated and newly named Mediterranean restaurant (replaced the papa’s kabob place). Told myself I want to stop by on my way back and check it out. I’m glad I did. Not only did they do an amazing job with the remodel/ambiance, everything on the menu looked good. I settled for the chicken shish kabob. It was beyond tasty, moist, and well marinated. I can go on and on, but if you want quality and good portion, this place will definitely satisfy your taste buds. Most importantly such a warm, inviting, and friendly staff. Absolutely great overall experience, and I will definitely frequent. Thanks guys and wish you the best on your new venture.
NOTE: This is a BRAND NEW SPOT and has/had nothing to do with previous Papa’s kabob owners or business. I believe they said they opened up in December of last year. I saw some reviews, and even few of my friends thought I was talking about the old place that was here when I told them where I had dinner and it was located.

Seven Grill Mediterranean Food is an absolute gem. The chicken kabobs are incredibly tender and flavorful, the rice is perfectly seasoned, and the desert salad is one of those dishes you think about long after the meal is over. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and made with real care.
This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back and try the entire menu — and I definitely will. In fact, it’s worth the drive just to explore more of what they offer. I highly recommend ordering a variety of dishes to share so you can experience all the flavors they do so well.
And don’t leave without trying the tea. It’s authentic Persian tea, rich, aromatic, and honestly one of the greatest finishing touches to an already outstanding meal.

Staff there are very kind. The food is an acquired taste. I love koobideh and saffron rice so it’s a win win for me. Although probably get the kebab next time. Tiramisu to finish off with as well.

I typically order their Ghormeh Sabzi, and it’s always so good whenever I come. This time, I ordered the lamb shank and regret not taking pictures – it was so delicious I practically inhaled it. It wasn’t overpowering, salty, or greasy; just clean and perfect, with no aftertaste at all.
My son and husband ordered the beef koobideh, which they said is always delicious. We are so lucky to have their chef here in Garden Grove. I’ve eaten Persian food all over California, and their food is truly authentic and clean.

The interior remodel offers a classy yet comfortable ambiance, ideal for any casual sit-down meal. The food’s quality, freshness, and flavor are outstanding for the value and location. It’s clear every dish is prepared fresh to order with meticulous care, and my server was wonderfully attentive and kind.
My chicken shish kabob plate was INCREDIBLE. The rice was perfectly fluffy with a delicate saffron hint. The chicken kabobs were the juiciest, most tender kabobs I’ve ever had, grilled to perfection and bursting with aromatic herbs and spices. And although it is ala carte, you MUST get the hummus. It’s freshly made, incredibly smooth and topped off with obligatory olive oil drizzle – easily among the best I’ve ever had that wasn’t homemade.
