Every so often I order in, and one of my top spots for a BEC is Goody’s. I get fried eggs, bacon, American cheese and salt and pepper on an egg everything bagel, and it’s perfection! It’s all about the balance, and Goody’s knows how to put just the right amount of everything on the sandwich. I also appreciate that if they don’t have the bagel I ordered, they call to ask what I would like instead of just giving me something else – good customer service! Of course I have to have a classic coffee with this breakfast, and it is always hot and delicious. I have also enjoyed some of their salads, such as their chicken salad and tuna salad. Everything is always fresh. One day I will actually go to the store, but their delivery is top notch!

I do business in Glen Cove every couple of weeks, providing me with the opportunity to visit Goody’s on the way. I am always impressed on how Professional, courteous and friendly the Staff and ownership are. The premises is spotless and the attention to details is what every establishment should strive to reach. When I stopped by this past Thursday, 3/5/26, I may have had the “BEST” egg sandwich ever! Goody’s Bagels is hands down one of my favorite spots. The bagels are always fresh and delicious, but what really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone is incredibly kind, courteous, and welcoming every time you walk in. They genuinely care about their customers and it shows.
They also go out of their way to make sure orders are correct, even for delivery customers, which I really appreciate. It’s clear they take pride in what they do and truly go above and beyond.
Highly recommend Goody’s Bagels — great food and even better people.

Goody’s is a solid local bagel shop. I don’t need to go into what they offer as its a regular full service bagel store in NY. The reason I am writing this review is in hopes management sees this.
Management needs to improve their service….and no, its not below my expectations because you are so busy.
Here is the issues (as a regular customer).
(1) Some workers are really fast and some unfortunately super slow. Imagine you get paired up with a super slow worker for a bagel/cream cheese and coffee. And you are sitting there waiting while the three guys who are behind you in line get their dozen bagels, 3 egg and cheese, multiple iced coffees, etc. because the fast dude is cycling through them the way they should. I cant tell you the number of times I’ve walked out of Goodies really frustrated. FIX THIS PLEASE! and
(2) I was there the other day. We were just 2 people in line. The staff was busy fixing a lot of items (Im sure door dash or pick up orders)…ok fine…but what really ticked me off was after standing there for several minutes, I heard a call come in, the order placed and while I was waiting there in person, the employee made that order…I literally watched the person come in and pick up that order before I even got to place my order!!! And I asked the customer to confirm it was their phone call that came in 3 minutes prior and they said it was. This is unacceptable. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!
Face it, you are lucky, as my only other alternative for a local bagel shop based on where I live is Pop-Up, which is not a real bagel shop. These are easy fixes!!!! Print this out and show it to your staff….tell them this is completely unacceptable and that when the new shiny bagel shop opens, you might be the losers (just like a few pizza shops have been put out of business around here when the new spots opened – thank you Ginos/Carlos/Marinara for elevating the pizza game around here) If Goodies cant fix this, I welcome a new bagel shop pronto!.

Update: my wife brought some home to SoCal. For one reason after another we couldn’t dive in. Tried freezing them. When we were ready we just popped them in the toaster oven and they were perfect! The skin crisped up a bit and the inside was the fluffy chewy goodness of a Goody’s bagel. Mr Goody is a master at his craft!
Missed getting some pics but hands-down best bagels I ever had. Owner was super friendly. He has been making bagels for decades.

Small, but great bagel deli shop in Long Island. Has a couple of booths to dine in. Mostly for take-out orders. Great breakfast sandwiches on kaiser roll or bagel. Good selection of fresh bagels, and spreads.

This place is terrible. It’s dirty. Didn’t get the order right. Coffee was trash. Bunch of people looking at there phones behind the counter.
They don’t pull the bacon apart while cooking, so it’s undercooked and the bagel was dripping with grease.
