This place takes me back, I visited here a few years back and I could say that it has progressed a bit. I do like how they have been decorating the place keeping to the classic diner style but kicking up a knotch every season adding some different elements to bring out a different positive energy. There is an attractively lovely host there with greenish hair so chill and on point with her service. Bald homie seems funny and cool too, bless them!!! This is a very respectful place and the food is so tasty makes you feel like grandma was in the back cooking it up def not a bad place to come visit if your ever just passing through. Freeland is not a big place but it has its little staples and I believe this is one of them. So if you through Luzerne County and want to stop by get a good bite to eat at a good deal, make sure yo drop in and show love.

Just got a chicken Cesar wrap and was very surprised at how big it was, had to pull over to try it and I will definitely stop back to try some other stuff. Place looks like a very friendly environment. Real hidden gem for the Freeland area ! Go out and support if your local or In the area! I would take a picture of my food but it’s almost gone! Hands down biggest wrap I’ve had from a restaurant

Modest, old school dining atmosphere. Server was friendly. Food was good, and definitely filling, at a very affordable price. Options for booth seating, table seating, or counter seating. The restroom was clean, and smelled really good. I would eat here again when in Freeland. Would recommend, especially for the price.
There is a downside. Phone service was a challenge. But Woodies provides free Wi-Fi. Set your mobile phone to Wi-Fi calling, and you’re good to go from there.

I recommend this place 5/5 stars , they have the most welcoming atmosphere, you feel like you’ve been going their for 10 years the way they treat you when you come in. Great waitresses, food is definitely 5/5 stars 100% recommend.. I love this place so much we went our first time a few days ago and decided to go again the next day .. we will be visiting again this coming sat evening or Sunday morning.. woodies club with large French fries pictured below.. I 110% recommend this sandwich combo if you like fries !!!! An excellent A1 treat if you are going off the keto / carnivore straight diet for 1 day cheating!

My husband and I ate at Woodie’s Luncheonette for the first time today.
The food was homemade, delicious and very affordable. The portions were decently sized.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when it came to asking questions.
The atmosphere was relaxing.

Friendly staff. Ordered a chicken parm hoagie. Server was attentive while the food was prepared. Took a while and it was worth the wait. Excellent!

I put a zero star for Woody’s for one their food extremely overpriced and small portioned over $12 for a grilled cheese I mean come on and two I love how the fact my fiance got banned from your restaurant cuz one of your employees gets my son mixed up with at least one of six other kids who looks like him in this town and tries to tell my fiance to tell him to stop coming in they don’t care who’s related to that they’re not hiring why say you’re hiring if you’re supposedly not hiring why supposedly have a sign outside that always says hiring when you’re not
