A beautiful restaurant tucked away in Moka with old style Mauritian buffet. The food was delicious, the chicken and fish used in the curries was succulent and fresh. I really enjoyed the taste of the pulled fish prepared Mauritian style. Every dish was perfectly made and delicious. The coffee was good and the desserts were a perfectly balanced sweetness. The staff was also very kind and attentive and the environment is peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend!

Over all it is not value for money. The place and atmosphere is great. Amongst the food we ordered some were great (Lamb and curry bari) some not at all (fish & lobster). As the price is on the very high side you expect all the food to be absolutely excellent. The service was also very slow. The drinks we took (all non alcoholic) were great. Not going there again as it was not value for the the price.
And yes there were some safety hazards staffs asked us to stay away in the outdoor area. One of the posts holding up the shade could slip from the stack of rocks holding it and fall over….which was a bit frightening.

Really loved this venue!
Green, spacious and beautiful A classic tastefully restored Mauritian manor house which is what makes it special
The service was excellent. The food was fresh and tasty. Perfect venue for a business lunch or get together with friends. A generous range of classic Mauritian dishes.
Lots of parking available. The weather is much cooler and less humid than coastal venues.
So glad we made the trip

This restaurant with its decor settings and food offerings, will give you a feeling like time travelling to the past. The staffs are very friendly and willingly give you details about each dish on the menu. The food seems slow cooked and all the flavours and taste gave me a certain nostalgy of the home made food prepared by my mum and grand mother! I find the buffet really value for money as it gives you a large choice of the local cuisine. There was no better way to end my wonderful dinner experience than tasting the sublime desserts. I really enjoyed the Tapioca and Caramelised flan as well!

Great experience. Genuine creole cuisine. Only recommendations is more signage to the bistro, and serve genuine Mauritian Bois Cherie tea. Excellent service.

My husband and I had a great time here.
From the service that was absolutely outstanding to the food that tasted amazing! I can definitely say that the amount of stars the restaurant currently has doesn’t doing justice. Definitely top 2 of the best restaurants we have eaten at on the island!! HIGHLY recommend here if you want delicious local cuisine.

Colonial house converted into a restaurant, providing a variety of local dishes.
Snacks and Starters are overpriced.
I would highly recommend the buffet option, more worth your money, giving you different local dishes. The rotis are always very good!

We don’t cook local cuisine at home, so for us it was a nice experience. Food was good, real pharata (and not rotis) made on the spot. It’s the hunting season, so they had saute de cerf which we tried and was delicious. Crab soup also was very good. The dry beef curry was nice but lacked a bit in taste and size of portion.
Service was great. The chef greeted us when we arrived.
Setup is beautiful, old colonial house. You can choose if to sit inside or outside.
Prices are on the high end side, so it’s more a place for occasions or tourists. We will come back with visiting tourist friends for sure!
