Upon entering, we were immediately captivated by the cafe’s trendy decor and vibrant atmosphere. The logo was stylish, and the whimsical fairies adorning the walls, along with the ropes and faux vines draping from the ceiling, created a lively and inviting space. The cafe was spacious and impeccably clean; even the bathroom exuded a fresh scent, which added to the overall pleasant experience. However, the decor was merely a backdrop to our main objective: indulging in some delightful treats.
Dairy Fairies Café offered an enticing selection of desserts, making it difficult to choose just one. My daughter, unable to resist the temptation, decided to sample several items, while Jon and I opted for a more restrained approach with one or two selections each. She started with a lotus Biscoff cake that was a delightful explosion of flavors, followed by perfectly fried waffle sticks that struck an ideal balance between crispiness and warmth.
Her indulgence continued with a s’mores treat and a strawberry shortcake, while Jon savored a strawberry shortcake waffle stick paired with a peanut butter milkshake that he declared one of the best he had ever tasted. I chose a simple cup of coffee complemented by a Nutella waffle stick, which was nothing short of extraordinary.
Although the service was a bit slow, and I had to remind them about my coffee at the end, the two younger staff members were incredibly friendly, always smiling and engaging in cheerful conversation. I appreciated their efforts, especially since they were managing the busy cafe on their own. Despite a sudden rush of customers during our visit, the overall experience was delightful, leaving us with sweet memories to cherish.
We tried it three weeks ago and it has been my cheat treat every week!
And I have to say Ayesha is theee sweetest! Her warm energy alone could make any dessert taste better, but thankfully the cheesecake is already perfection.
The owner is incredibly nice and genuinely funny, the type of person who makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. And his wife? She deserves an award, because that cheesecake recipe of hers is absolute magic.
If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. Treat yourself — you won’t regret it! ✨
This place is a place I will tell everyone about.
The food… chef kiss. It was so amazing, warm, and fresh. The coffee & shakes, omg. Perfection.
The restaurant… so pretty and clean.
The owners… The husband was so nice and friendly.
To see how proud and supportive he was to make his wife’s dreams come to was so touching.
I say go and go now.
This is a local business you will want to support.
The owner greats us with a warm smile and go out of his way to explain what they have.
Can’t wait to be back!!
The desert menu has a wide range of sweet treats so I’d be very surprised if you weren’t able to find some you’d like. They have everything from waffle sticks, to Dubai chocolate bars, to milkshakes.
My partner and I came here for the milkshakes and they were truly some of the best we have ever gotten. We ordered the fruity pebbles and strawberry shortcake shakes and they tasted just as you would imagine. They both had a very yummy strawberry syrup in them and the textures of the shakes were great as well. The fruity pebbles shake tasted just as if you were eating the cereal fresh from a brand new bowl and the strawberry shortcake was the perfect amount of sweet and strawberry combined.
I definitely will be coming back!
Over 27 years ago my family moved from NYC to this little town of Hamtramck. It was a community of all of us immigrants who managed to build a little pocket of our motherlands confined in a 2 square mile radius. Most of our parents were struggling to make ends meet, and being able to eat out (let alone have a place to hang out and chill) was unheard of back then.
To come back to Hamtramck and see a place like this being opened for the community, by the people of community, makes my heart swell SO much. Because everyone deserves a slice of luxury every now and again.
The place is decorated minimally, but I found it tasteful. I had the pleasure of speaking to Mahmoud the owner, and you can see from the light in his eyes that he opened it with a heart full of hope and a dream of serving the community something they have never had before.
The menu is a delight, and I disagree with what one comment said about the portions being tiny. They are priced pretty comparatively to what many other shops charge for their portions. At the end of the day, this is a small business.
The coffee was MAGNIFICENT so I will definitely be coming here to work all the way from Sterling Heights. I got the caramel latte with oatmilk and it was a dream. 10/10, and I do not say this lightly. If you like strong coffee, this is a must try.
This place is honestly a pocket of joy in Hamtramck and I cannot wait to see it flourish.
