We had a great dinner at Ascione Bistro in Skokie. We started with the Fried Calamari and the House Meatballs — both were excellent. The Calamari was crispy and flavorful, and the House Meatballs were tender with a rich sauce. For the main courses we ordered the Lobster Risotto and the Tuscan steak-style New York strip. The risotto was creamy with generous lobster, and the steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We finished the meal with Tiramisu, which was the perfect dessert to end the night. Great food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

It has a delightful atmosphere with many different/unique sitting areas.
The food was fantastic – so delicious.
The first day that we went we got the smashburgers with Italian fries along with the fried calamari and beer.
The burgers were off the chart as far as taste and flavor.
We also joined them for Thanksgiving dinner and that too was a lovely experience. Such generous portions and a great value overall.

This restaurant was a great experience! Our servers were very attentive and kind. I especially recommend the tagliolini for a delicious truffle pasta or the duck with a savory and creamy risotto. The atmosphere is very sophisticated yet perfect for socializing in a group or to share a meal with someone else.

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Ascione. The restaurant has such a warm and cozy atmosphere. The holiday decorations were done in style. Our server, Alejandra, was incredibly polite, knowledgeable and attentive. She listed the chef’s specials of the day and both my wife and I were sold on two of them. I ended up getting the Veal tomahawk and my wife got the homemade fettuccine in a creamy mushroom/truffle sauce with shaved truffle to top it off. We also got an order of calamari and it was so tender! Our drinks stayed full the entire time and everyone was so attentive even though they seemed like they had a full house.

It looks very cozy and aesthetic, nice Italian restaurant.
To be honest there are not much restaurants with really good Italian cuisine in Chicago, but this place surprised me in a good way. I was passing by this corner so many times, but never noticed it.
It’s located on the intersection of Lincoln Ave and Oakton.
I had fettucine alfredo with shrimps and strawberry cocktail, it was so delicious.
Will definitely go there again.

Food was beautifully presented and served. Duck and beet salad lacked acidity and depth of flavor- – tasted bland. The calamari appetizer was tender but very oily. The pasta dishes were all very good and sauces were distinctive. Creme brulee was delicious.

I don’t even know where to start—that’s how incredible everything was at Ascione. From the food to the service to the ambiance, every detail was on point. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous with a cozy, tucked-away patio.
Our server Jose was the best—so attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations (which we’re so glad we took!). The rest of the staff were just as wonderful. Food and drinks? So good. And don’t even get me started on the desserts!
On our way out, the manager Danny stopped by to check in, and I had to let him know how amazing the experience was. I’ll definitely be back. Such a great addition to downtown Skokie!

Walked in on a Monday late afternoon and there were plenty of open seating. Dined at the bar and enjoyed the happy hour cocktails. The branzino is better grilled but it’s preference. Loved everything else we ordered and the ambience. Really fresh. Alejandra was great at tending to us. Already recommended to friends and family. Will be back!
