I stopped in this spot for a quick bite. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked into the spot and was greeted! I ordered:
Espresso milkshake
Korean chicken nuggets
loaded mac and cheese
messy sando
chicken wrap
I really enjoyed the food. My favorite being the espresso milkshake and that Korean chicken nuggets. The chicken wrap was ok. All in all, I enjoyed my experience!

Let’s see, I saw the ad for this place on Facebook and decided to stop by. They just opened so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere inside the store.
I liked artwork on the wall, the art of the flaming chicken, and the cute designs on the box made me smile.
However the store was super quiet. There was no music playing in the bg or anything to make the place feel this way or that.
In fact it was so quiet in there ,I thought it was still closed at first.
I feel like if it was a take out place, go in and get out it wouldn’t be an issue, but if we were sitting down to eat, it’s a little awkward.
Staff was super friendly and patient.
There were two ladies in there who were laughing and joking, definably made us feel welcome.
I appreciated how she waited patiently for me to squint at the menu screens and explained what everything was in great detail.
Price wise its pretty good for a lunch date.
We created a meal for two by splitting the Korean chicken nuggets w/rice, a chicken sando, loaded Mac and cheese and funnel cake fries came to like $35.
We didn’t get a drink but water was free.
The food was okay.
If you love spicy food then this is the place for you.
I’m not a fan of spicy food but we came anyway.
They do have non spicy options, like the chicken nuggets which were soy and garlic flavor.
I wasn’t a big fan of it at first, but when you mix the chicken with the rice and add the sauce then it becomes divine.
The funnel cake fries were really good sweet and not soggy.
The loaded mac was pretty good too.
Proportion wise, I think it’s good lunch size food. not huge servings but not small either.
My husband tried the crazy hot sandwich that you need to sign a waiver for.
He drinks Korean hot sauce with everything and has a very high spice tolerance, but that made his whole face turn red and his nose run.
He liked it but it took sometime to eat. The staff were real fun about the experience.
They said they’ll have a wall of fame in the future and to try again. So we’re definitely going to come back.
The only thing I hope they change soon is that they add physical menus because with my limited vision is very difficult to see the screen If my husband wasn’t with me I don’t think I would have been able to order anything. Other than at this place is pretty cool totally go if you had the free time.

I’ve been a regular at Hangry Joe’s in Philly for a long time, so I was excited to visit the Wilmington location. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. I ordered the loaded fries for $14, and the portion was barely half of what I normally get at other locations. Instead of the usual hearty serving, it came in a flimsy paper tray/baggie. For that price point, the value just wasn’t there. I love the food, but this location needs to match the standards of the others. I won’t be showing any interest in coming to this location any more where they can’t even provide a fork and napkin and rather visit another location. This is my personal opinion where I felt like my money was wasted.

“Hangry Joe’s” boasts an “always fresh, never frozen” menu. Unfortunately, this means that the minimum wait time is no less than 15 minutes. At 3:00 pm on a Monday, I waited 28 minutes for 6 wings. It is for this reason that ai submit this is not “fast food”, nor a good dine-in option. One would do better ordering in advance and then picking it up.
The server failed to ask if I wanted breaded or naked wings…they just defaulted to breaded. My fault for not specifying, but a superior clerk would’ve asked and not just assumed.
The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. And, the wings are HUGE! I fully expected them to be about the size of my thumb, but they were considerably larger. The one photographed was probably the smallest of the six.
I initially cringed at the $9+ price for 6 wings, but when I saw the portion, it all made sense.
I would return to Hangry Joe’s, but I would plan accordingly — especially if it is a “busy time”. Anticipate a 30-minute wait.

Went there today and the food was not good at all. The loaded fries were very greasy and soggy. The fried chicken was well done, but with no seasoning, just extra crispy with spice. Their coleslaw was bland and dry. I would not go back or recommend this place to anyone.

Got a mild chicken sandwich with French fries. The sauce it came with was really good.. chicken sandwich was really good. Tasted so fresh and it was a generous sized chicken to say the least! Even though, it was mild, came with a little kick, but in a good way! If you can’t do spicy at all, you may want to try it no spices. Cole slaw comes on the chicken sandwich, and that was really good too!!!

It’s a five out of five for me! The food had the perfect amount of spicy and the crunchy chicken they accommodated my order for me and it was delicious! Came out nice and hot also didn’t take long ! I met the brothers who run it, they were extremely sweet and kind, which made the experience even better. The food was amazing, and the service was top-notch. You can really tell they care about quality. So sweet and welcoming, I’ll definitely be back!
