Visited Royal Chicken in Duncanville last Sat. with my son. We ordered an 8 piece legs and thighs, 3pc fish fillets, and chicken salad. I also got the lemon tea. The owner personally came out and greeted and shook hands with all customers before leaving.
The food was freshly cooked so there should be an expected wait time for new customers but just be patient and you’ll have hot food out the grease.
The chicken was seasoned well and accompanied with fries pickles and peppers. My son loved the fish and and my chicken salad was fulfilling.
Pros: Nice choices, good service, good food.
Cons: Salad didn’t combine spinach or mixed greens (but still good). Location is not bad but could be difficult to find for people not aware of the location. Finally there may be a bit of sticker shock to some but I think the food is worth the price and valued well.
Over all, please visit one of their two locations and support Black Owned Businesses. You won’t be disappointed.

We were so disappointed tonight! I sent my wife to get (3) 3 x wing baskets and the chicken was old and the fries were cold. For a business to say “they have the best fried chicken in Texas,” What we received today should have never came from their kitchen. Absolutely horrible! I can’t even give them a star because after we called in our order my wife still had to wait 10 minutes to get the order.

First time trying this place (sept ’21)The fried chicken is pretty good here. I ordered it lightly seasoned, and I was able to taste the seasoning plenty fine. This would be the second best chicken place I’ve tried in Texas so far since moving here. It has a home cast iron skillet feel to it. The okra was good as well with a light and crispy batter. I would venture back at a later time to give the catfish, or some other items a try.

I’ve upgraded to 5 stars, because the chicken is always consistent in flavor and always moist. The fried shrimp is delicious and the hush puppies are so good I have to force myself to stop eating too many lol! I highly recommend this place for homestyle fried chicken!

I had one of the BEST experiences at this establishment! It was affordable, the staff were Friendly and they knew the menu. My food was so good and fresh! If I could give 10 stars I definitely would!! I ordered a 4pc wing and okra (they showed so much love with that chicken and seasoning… LAWDD) and a chicken and shrimp salad that was out of this world! The peach tea was nothing short of amazing! I was skeptical at first being that I am from out of state but mannnn I was SLEEP lol! I will definitely be back and I done already spread the word! Didn’t get names of course but to the nice Man and the nice Lady at the front who even went the extra mile to bring my food outside, THANK YOU!!… KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!! Y’all did that!!

This place should be shut down.No chicken no fish no condiments why are you even Open? The service is terrible. I ordered a two plate whole catfish and it took them a whole hour. I place the order at 4:14 the order wasn’t ready till 5:20

While searching for something else, I came across this place. I sat in my car and read the reviews and almost decided not to go in, but I figured I should give it a chance.
When I arrived, a beautiful older woman took my order. It was her first day, and she excelled at customer service. The establishment was clean, and my food was cooked to order.
I ordered chicken and one piece of fish. I intentionally chose one piece because I know how Bob’s can be when it comes to what’s advertised versus what you actually get. Unfortunately, the so-called catfish was disappointing. I have no idea what kind of fish it was, but it definitely wasn’t catfish. Look at my pics and decide for yourself. Other than that, everything else was fantastic.

The fried chicken is truly home cooked level. It looks and tastes like actual chicken that was brought at a local farm and then transported to the store rather than the cheapest quality of chicken that came from a mass production factory that goes straight to the location cooking and serving the food (like KFC and Popeyes). I’ve only been once and I’m definitely going to try it again, but this may become one of my top chicken spots. I know one thing is for sure, I’m done with the slop national chains serve and I’m seeking small business spots like this.

I placed an order october seventeenth.They took the money out of my account.I never received a phone call or an email to let me know.My food was ready.So I just showed up thirty minutes after to find this place closed.No one was in there, no one was even there for the day.I have called every thursday through sunday.For the past month, trying to get in contact with someone about reimbursing my money, no one has contacted me at all.I drive by every thursday through sunday.It’s still close and right here on the website.It says open.So for further people making online orders, they’re getting ripped off because it’s not even saying that the place is closed down.I have left numerous messages for the owner and still have not got a contact back.This is ridiculous
