Yesterday, Sunday, September 21 My husband and I had been riding our motorcycle since 11:00 in the morning. Our friends joined us around 1. We decided to take a ride from New Market, Va. through Mathias, West Virginia and back around through Petersburg, Franklin and then Brandywine. We got to Brandywine about 7pm and decided to stop at a Foxs Pizza Den to grab a bite to eat because my husband had never had Fox’s pizza before. Little did we know that the restaurant was closed on Sundays. The owner had pulled into the parking to do some work preparing for opening up on Monday. He offered to start up the oven and make us a pizza right there on the spot with a smile on his face and sincere kindness in his heart. We were hungry and tired and we very happily took him up on his offer! He invited us in, served us ice cold drinks and indulged in friendly conversation with us while he was making our pizza. His parents and children even came to greet us. The pizza was amazing, the hospitality was outstanding and customer service was phenomenal. There just aren’t many people that would exert that type of kindness and generosity to traveling strangers on motorcycles. It was his day off and his restaurant was closed and he didn’t hesitate to open his doors, invite us in and feed us. I recall a story slightly similar to this one in a book I read once before in Matthew chapter 24 somewhere around verse 35 about the importance of loving and caring for a stranger.
If you’re ever in that area, I highly recommend that you stop in for a one of a kind experience, absolutely delicious pizza and service with a smile!!

I could not do dine in because of COVID, but the pie came out very good! They also have a very lovely cat, you can pet him/her while you are waiting on your food.

We stayed here in Brandywine riding through on the Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route. The general store, foxes pizza and motel were great, what more could you need? The general store opened early for breakfast and one large pizza was enough easily to feed 4 people for dinner. The motel wasn’t fancy but for 61 dollars a night it was great.

Pizza was great!… But it wasn’t what we thought we ordered. Turns out I inadvertently ordered a “supreme” instead of a “deluxe.” The manager Darren was very kind and handled the situation flawlessly. Beyond expectations. To me, customer service is just as important as food quality, and this place nailed it on both. We will definitely be back.

My hubby went to the window outside and ordered cheese stix..when our order was ready, the girl had made cheese bread instead. He told her he had ordered cheese stix and all she did was say ” sorry”.. she wouldn’t take them back or make him what he actually ordered. She said we had to take them. I have never had a food place refuse to make a order right when they are the ones who messed up. The food is amazing, but the attitude of that person was terrible..
