We are here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, it was around 1pm & we waited 5-7mins for our table. Their lunch menu is a great option, we had sushi obento & temaki ranchi which came with a miso soup, portion is ok for 2 at lunch. Sushi is fresh & so delicious, yellowtail & flatfish is really good. For temaki, I wished they have more raw options on the lunch menu , my favorite is the crunchy garlic kani. Overall, the restaurant is clean & well-decor, fresh cuts, a great place for a date night or even lunch. Oh, the compliment green bean is so good!

Tonight I stumbled upon this restaurant in an unexpected location, even though I drive past it almost every day. Coming from a tropical island, I’m familiar with fresh seafood flavors, and when I walked in, I thought it would be just another Japanese restaurant. I was wrong. From the moment you enter, the place exudes serenity and an understated luxury that’s unusual in Fresno. It’s an example of how exceptional service focused on details can transform a restaurant into an extraordinary experience and turn an ordinary evening into a memorable occasion. The food is an explosion of flavor, where every bite transports you to the islands of Japan, to a place on a beach, solely through the power of taste. If you want to share a unique evening, visit this very special place.

Some of the best sushi and authentic Japanese food you can get in Fresno. Anything you select from the menu is very high quality and has a high attention to detail. Prices are relatively high; worth the money in my opinion. Service is very professional and friendly. Ambience is elegant and simple. Highly recommend for special occasions or when you just feel like splurging on a great experience.

Could you imagine the perfect dining experience actually exists in Fresno? if you’re a fan of Japanese food, this is it. When you first walk in, prepare to stand in awe and take in the unique modern, whimsical, nature inspired- atmosphere. If you come here to celebrate- (I came here for my birthday) they provide the most amazing dessert. Matcha ice cream with bean paste, lychee and…frosted corn flakes?! Yes. As someone who is not a fan of processed cereals, I was a bit incredulous. UNTIL I tried it- then I was in heaven we had made a reservation, so not sure about the wait time. Make a reservation to be safe because you dont want to miss out. The service was super friendly and attentive, and the sushi rolls my friend and I shared were delicious. I wish I remembered the name of them because the baked roll we got tasted like the chef wrote a love song just for me. Every bite was poetic. The cocktails were delicious as well. I’m DEFINITELY 100% coming back here.

My wife and I were in Fresno for my son’s Cali state marching band championship competition and walked in on a Saturday evening. We got outdoor seating without a reservation and had a great time. Great atmosphere, food and service!

In search of a sashimi boat of some sorts, to celebrate my spouses birthday, we arrived at O-iza, knowing from the menu they have a good selection of sashimi. Our waiter Carlye B helped us put together a dream birthday dinner for two, and orchestrated a perfect delivery. We started with Furikake Wagyu / bone marrow and Tagarashi baked oysters, both delicious and served in that special perfect Japanese presentation. For the main dish we selected a dozen of sashimi plates and asked to put it on one plate. What came to our table exceeded by far our expectations, see the pictures. The fish was as fresh as it gets and again the presentation was over the top fantastic! As desert we had Blk sesame hazelnut and matcha parfait (decorated on the occasion of said birthday). My spouse also received a small gift, which was very thoughtful. We spent a fe dollars on this dinner, but it was worth every penny!

The service was amazing. The hostess was extremely kind, patient, and helpful when navigating the menu. Every dish and drink was served in good time with amazing presentation. Not only did everything look amazing the flavors and the way it was cooked was by far the best meal I’ve had in years. This restaurant is bringing a whole new level of dining to Fresno and I hope I can enjoy eating there for a long time. They are the best!

Modern Japanese fusion cuisine. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance. Service is prompt and professional. The wagyu gyoza and hamachi ceviche were good along with the mango panna cotta. The mains (scallops and sea bass) were just ok. Overall a nice experience but the value for the price just wasn’t there for me to give it 5 stars.
