I grew up in Keansburg but moved away when I joined the Army. I have been living in NC for 25 years and one thing I missed most was some good Jersey bagels. Well today my husband and I went to Gems and it was all I remembered and more. Lewis was impressed by how welcoming the staff was and equally impressed by how amazing their food was…now he wants to go back. We will most likely stop back in on our way back to NC tomorrow.

I bought chicken salad and it was 12.99 or more per lb and opened it ah home..(it was canned chicken with mayo) no celery,onion,salt, pepper . Chicken was Probably free from a pantry..That’s it it’s disgusting and insulting to the community to be robbing everyone like this. Stop being greedy like everyone else to your loyal customers. What a gem! We’re so glad we found this place. When you walk in the energy is warm and friendly. Everyone working was incredibly nice, which is rare now a days lol. We get the egg, cheese and hash on an everything bagel and a turkey and cheese on a plain bagel. The sandwiches are always so beautiful and packed and delicious! So happy we found this place. Will be back and absolutely recommend to others. Well done guys 🙂

Just finished my sandwich from here and oh my word. Do not pass up on this place! The freshest bagels (we got a couple breakfast sandwiches) and a wrap that was weighted like a dumbbell! Filled with chicken breast and bacon. I do (as do they) recommend calling ahead with your order. I didn’t and had to wait a little bit, but is to be expected for some delicious food.

This is a cute little bagel counter. It is obviously a neighborhood gem. Excellent bagels. I also had a bagel sandwich with egg sausage and cheese. It was really tasty. They asked me if I wanted salt and pepper. I said no. I later discovered that my egg had no salt. Which is exactly what I asked for.

Hands down THE BEST of all the Gems locations out there. Thank you ladies and gents for consistently providing efficient, professional and friendly service. We are Always attended with a smile and our goodies are always delicious!! Yours is the only location where we always leave feeling like it was money and time well spent.
