Friends and I made reservations to celebrate my December birthday and had a great first experience at Prohibition. The holiday decor was intentional, classy, and festive, with several great spots throughout the restaurant for photos. Multiple staff members wished me a happy birthday, and I appreciated the complimentary glass of champagne. The menu was solid, food pricing was very reasonable, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The holiday drink menu was cute and a bit pricey, but every drink we ordered was well made.
The real highlight of our experience was our server, Kiya. From the moment she greeted us, she was bubbly, kind, and attentive the entire evening. Her energy truly elevated our night. We will absolutely be back, and specifically when Kiya is working, because she made our first visit memorable!

Prohibition in Columbia absolutely nailed the holiday atmosphere this season. The moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in warm, cozy holiday ambience — soft lights, festive décor, and that perfect nostalgic vibe that makes you want to stay all night.

The holiday-themed cocktails were next-level. Creative, seasonal, and crafted with actual care — not just thrown together for the theme. Every drink looked and tasted like Christmas in a glass.

But what really sets Prohibition apart is the overall energy. The staff is friendly, genuine, and makes you feel welcome from the second you step inside. It’s one of those places where the vibe just hits right — warm, inviting, and perfect for celebrating the season with friends.

If you’re looking for a spot in Columbia that truly captures the magic of the holidays, Prohibition is it. Highly recommend!

We ate dinner there this past week and were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter, Travis was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. I had an Old Fashioned that was awesome. The quality of the food was excellent. I thought this place might be more of a drinking place but honestly the food we had was fine dining quality. My wife had Tomato and Ricotta cheese on sourdough bread, Mexican street corn (recommend the restaurant serve with the little corn holders as it was a little messy) but delicious. I had fish in a corn chowder and deviled eggs as appetizer. Great atmosphere too. Casual but a little dressy. Recommend making reservations. Great place for a date night!

Stopped in again and this restaurant was decked out for the Holidays! Great crowd and atmosphere. I had just come into town and made an order to go. They were really busy and the manager “Will” was very nice and went back to the kitchen to bring my food out. While waiting “Gage” and “Donny” working the bar made a fine drink. The menu was Holiday themed. The food was delicious. This restaurant has it going on. Good food, good
drinks and good service. Be prepared for a crowd but it’s worth it.

Me and a friend stopped in for brunch. It was a limited menu, but that didn’t stop the deliciousness that was given too our plates! The Christmas atmosphere caught our attention upon entering. The friendly service at the bar was top tier!

This is a fun place but depending on the time you arrive you may not get any table service. I was a little miffed as I was seated around 10:45 p.m. But I was told that service stopped at 11:00 and I questioned why I couldn’t be served and I was told the manager said they already switched over. So if you switch over at an earlier time then say that’s the time. Don’t have people rush to get there for table service and then not receive it 15 minutes before the closing point. Anyway, the music was fantastic. Everyone was friendly in the atmosphere was very colorful

Sam was amazing! My husband and I went on Valentine’s Day and had reservations. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. Sam, our waitress, made sure we had a perfect dinner and checked on us frequently. Our appetizers – charred wings, deviled eggs and mussels were great. For entrees we ordered steak and shrimp and grits. All were good. There was one small issue with the food and she told Will, the manager, who took care of it and offered us a replacement. He came to the table personally to apologize and took care of us as well. I’m very pleased with my first visit to Prohibition and we will definitely be back. Also all of my favorite 90s songs were playing!! Loved the vibes!

My friends and I made reservations for a Christmas girls night. The reason being we loved the Halloween experience. We had the absolute worst time!!! The menu was very limited, there are only so many rum drinks people want to drink. The waitress was friendly but the drinks being premixed doesn’t allow for customizations and I absolutely hated my drink, I took and sip and immediately tried to send it back. The waitress wouldn’t even ask or allow me to replace it. I ordered two appetizers as my entree and the shrimp looked and tasted like the frozen shrimp from Trader Joe’s. The Brussel sprouts advertised as crispy were burned and mushy. And I felt sick after eating 4. One of my friends had no food options as a pescatarian who doesn’t eat crab or lobster, because they were out of tofu already at 7:15 PM. Such a bad experience to have paid so much and to have looked forward to it only to be disappointed.

This location is a nice quaint place. Good for couples, small groups. It is more of a business casual atmosphere.

The food was quite expensive for the portion sizes received.

The food tasted ok. My grilled steak frites were too salty.

The decor is pretty cool, definitely gives you the 20-30’s feel. Large bar, plenty of seating. We did not have a reservation for Sunday brunch, but they were able to seat us up front in one of the waiting areas, which actually ended up being pretty cool. My uncle recommended this place, his band plays here from time to time can we very much enjoyed ourselves. The food was outstanding, and the service was Top Notch! Highly recommend this place!
