The taste is fresh and delicious as always, some of the most authentic flavors we have found locally. The Quesadilla Birria was amazing, so good and filling, with just a little kick of spice that paired perfectly with the salsa.
The bean and cheese burrito was also very good and hit all the spots.
The 16oz Pozole was perfect, especially while we’re feeling under the weather. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the add-ons were great, especially the cabbage, though we wish there was a bit more corn. We definitely recommend getting the largest size.

So happy I stopped here after the climbing gym. Very friendly staff and the food was fresh and tasted great. I got the mix and match street tacos: 4 was the perfect amount for me and all 3 meat options were moist and well seasoned. If you are going to go with only 1 meat choice, the Carne Asada was my favorite!
I’ll be back next time I’m in Essex for sure.

This is a walk-up restaurant, take out only (kind of like a fixed food truck). It’s telling that there are people walking up and away with take-out orders even in freezing weather. Suprisingly good Mexican and Cuban menu. This was our first time here (just moved to the area) and we got two different types of the fish street tacos and they were both delicious. We’ll definitely do an online order and quick pickup when we’re next passing through 5 corners.

Food was SO disappointing. The serving size was pathetic. The chips came in the tiniest little bag, which was only half full. Pretty much one handful of chips. Also got shrimp tacos which were nasty— WAY over cooked. It took a while, which would have been fine if the food wasn’t objectively poorly prepared.

Got the carne asada torta and was pleasantly surprised. Let’s be honest, Vermont isn’t great at Latin food. But this spot was yummy — tons of great flavor, good bread, and fresh ingredients. Wish this were closer to me!
Only feedback: I’m not crazy about a plastic bag knotted closed with hot food inside. Makes a steamy bag and soggy fries.

So freaking good. I used to live on carne asada street tacos in California and to just now FINALLY find some comparable here in Vermont is incredible. Despite it being bitterly cold it feels like I’m right back on the beach now. I turned around and went right back for seconds.
Support this gem!
Edit: I managed to be in the neighborhood a week later, and they are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday which is understandable. But I’m sad faced and hungry and nothing else will suffice now as I’m driving by today. Going home to cook instead.

Food was incredibly good and fresh, salsa was fantastic. just wish portions were a tad bigger for the chips & spanish rice, but the tacos were insanely good! recommend if you’re okay with smaller portions!

I was VERY incredulous regarding Mexican-Cubano eats in Vermont.. but the reviews were great sooooo we gave them a shot..
I have eaten my body weight in Miami cubanos and San Diego tacos… aaaaand these were the best of both that I have had outside of those places…!
HIGHLY recommended – the best meal that we have had so far in Vermont..!

I just had the distinct pleasure and honor of eating at this awesome establishment. Its he owners Joel and Jessica are 1st generation restaurant owners and are crushing it. I had four tortillas that were devoured in a matter of minutes and I WANT MORE!!!! Im actually considering running down to them again to order four more before the close. With what and how they are cooking it will be no time before they have a cult following. Watch out Chittenden County here is the next hotspot to not miss.
