Such a surprise to find great Mexican food in a little town. The burritos and enchiladas are great. It is a bit pricey but that is typical in touristy towns.

My take on Mexican restaurants is almost always the same. Same beans, same rice, same style, usually buried under cheese. That’s the downside of Mexican food in the United States. Most places stick to the formula. Every now and then, though, a place does a few things just a little differently.

Kiko’s Mexican Restaurant is easily the warmest place to have dinner in P-Burg, and I mean that literally. They have two gas stoves that run hot and make the whole place feel comfortable, especially on a cold night.

The service is great, and here’s why: they actually try to accommodate you. I despise rice and beans in burritos. To me, they’re cheap filler. I want meat, jalapeños, maybe some onions, and salsa. That’s exactly what they did, no pushback, no weird looks. I like that.

The salsa was good and fresh, but the guacamole was even better, the kind I make at home. So yes, it’s familiar Mexican food, but with just enough flexibility and care to make it stand out.

It’s worth going, reasonable prices, and having them make it your way.

Without a doubt, the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life (and I’ve lived in Tucson, AZ) We got carne asada tacos, traditional carne asada, chile verde, chili relleno, and a combo. The carne asada was seasoned to perfection and was incredibly tender. All 3 of us scraped our plates completely clean. We received our food quickly, especially considering the rush that came in for dinner. Madison was so nice helping us decide what to get and was incredibly patient. I wish I lived closer so I could go all the time

A charming ambiance paired with top-notch service makes for a delightful dining experience. Prices are reasonable, and the dishes were a hit for almost all of us. While everyone savored their meals, my husband’s choice didn’t quite hit the mark. Nonetheless, it’s a place we’d happily revisit!

This is the best Mexican restaurant I have eaten at in Montana. The shredded chicken was juicy, the ground beef was deliciously seasoned and the shredded beef was awesome. It is hard to decide what I liked best: the taco, the tamale or the enchilada because they were all so amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive. It was a busy Friday evening but the food came out quickly and hot. The salsa they serve with the chips is amazing. And I loved the decor and ambiance. This place was beautifully decorated and not covered in corona advertisements like most Mexican restaurants. The fried cheesecake was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend this place!

Kiko’s is a place that bucks the trend of the most likely food that you would normally find in a small tourist town tucked away in the Rocky Mountains. Rather than burgers, steak, or sandwiches, they serve some of the best Mexican food in a very large area. Their table salsa and chips are pretty standard, but their queso is excellent, and the plates that they serve are edge to edge full of food. The place can get pretty crowded on a busy lunch rush, but I have never had an issue with waiting for food. They seem to always crank it out really fast. My favorites are the enchiladas or chimichangas. There are a ton of options for your plate. Great place to eat in P-Burg.

Delicious food. I had a tamale and a chicken taco it came with sides. Just enough for a lunch meal. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. It’s a great place if you are tired of fried bar food.

This has to be one of the most authentic and best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten in. The prices were very reasonable and the quantity of food was perfect.

We ordered some churros for dessert and they were phenomenal. The tortilla chips were homemade and the salsa was perfectly spiced and very flavorful. My carne asada tasted awesome and it was very tender. Highly recommend stopping at this place if you have time.
