Our favorite restaurant in Jacksonville ! A casual yet elevated experience. Food is consistently delicious!! Staff is incredibly friendly and work well together. Chefs pay close attention to every little detail to elevate the food. Even the Brussels sprouts will “wow” you! They have plenty of vegan options , and the staff is very knowledgeable about accommodations. They always have one vegan dessert in hand. Pictured is the vegan Baked Alaska (heavenly!) Favorite dish is the vegan curry ! Definitely check this place out; you won’t be disappointed

Wonderful downtown spot and the perfect preshow dinner spot for the Times Union center for symphony or shows. Everything on the menu was spot on that we ordered and cocktails were creative and well executed. Add in happy hour pricing and this is a 10 out of 10 every time. Can’t wait to get back soon.

The food tasted good. However, when brought to us everything was slightly above room temperature except for the fries. The fries were the only item that was warm. If you are in any sort of time constraint do not go here. An appetizer, burger and shrimp n grits took almost an hour to get. Drinks are more ice than drink. Sweet tea is cold. The staff was cheerful and attentive most of the time. I would like to return to try some other items on the menue.

Came here before a show for some dinner and I’m so happy we did! Got the poutine appetizer to share, it was so cheesy and the gravy was so savory. Love that they put the gravy on the side so we could add it ourselves. For entrees we got the short rib and shrimp & grits, both were great. The shrimp & grits is a little on the smoky side so if you don’t like smoky and a bit of heat that probably isn’t the dish for you. The Korean short rib was a little dry, but with the sauce that they add to it as well as the grits and soy egg really brought so much flavor to this dish. I’d get it again for sure! We’ll be back

Nice spot! They definitely won me over with seeing boiled peanuts on the menu. I went to pass time before a wedding reception, so all I got was boiled peanuts and a Ceasars salad.

We came in and it was surprisingly empty. We ordered the tater tot kimchi to start and it was delicious. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I got the smashed burger. The food was amazing and we will be coming back for more.

I wanna go back to Bellweather so freaking bad
Try all of the things I never had
Order a Bellweather Burger and start with poutine
Lovin Korean fried Broccoli
Oh, every time I close my eyes
I think about the shoestring fries, yeah
A different entree every night, oh, I swear
Jacksonville foodies should prepare to try Bellwether
Yeah, if I had a show like Oprah, I would be sure to boast of
Drinks all A-list, just tell ‘em your preference
Got a museum or a show downtown you wanna hit?
Stop here before for apps, dinner and liquid libations
Came here before the symphony, had a chicken sandwich
And last but not least, crispy potato side dish

Tonight we went to Bellwether to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We did not order anything extraordinary. We both ordered their “sheep” Smash burgers. She had a single & I had the double. We ordered a salad to share for an appetizer. The salad was good. The fries that came with the hamburgers were good.
The hamburgers themselves were way overdone and tough – they were not hot, barely warm.
In a place like this? A hamburger is about the easiest thing you can fix – if you can’t cook a hamburger I have no idea what you’re doing as a chef in a restaurant like this. Both of our burgers were dry and barely warm. This would be the easiest meal that you can cook for anybody. Now the burgers were not very big, but that might be because it was just cooked down to the size of a hockey puck!
The idea is that you order the very simplest thing – for surely nobody can blow it on a hamburger. I was encouraged by the waitress to add bacon to my burger. So I opted it in. The bacon was like beef jerky. There’s nothing tender, nothing fresh. There is no juiciness to anything. It was dry as a bone – both the hamburger and the bacon. The quality of the bacon was probably good because it was the thick kind, but it was thick, dry and hard to bite through.
There was no “wow factor” in anything that we had tonight. Then the service was slow in between our salad and the main dish. We were planning on getting the dessert but decided if it’s going this bad so far – we better just leave now.
If you’re looking for a place to get something special, I would not recommend this place. We did see some good reviews some bad reviews before we went. And do understand that sometimes you just don’t know until you go, but we went and have absolutely no idea why we would go back.

Good Food, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and a few awesome gluten free and vegan menu options. Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options are labeled on the menu. Maddy, the bartender, rocks!

Had a business lunch here, and it was the perfect venue for a serious conversation in an intimate and welcoming environment. The service was top notch, food arrived quickly in spite of the lunch hour rush, and everything was delicious. Everyone in our party of three was exceptionally pleased with the food. I would recommend making reservations, as it can be difficult to find a table.
