I came here a few months ago and completely forgot to write a review!
The atmosphere is beautiful. We got seated pretty quickly on a Saturday night for a table of 3.
I do not remember the dish names, but they were all delicious. The drink I got was also good. Not too sweet and not too strong.
Service was on point as well. Our server as well as the other servers, were checking on the table frequently.
This is a cute date night spot or even a place to have dinner with a large party.

This is a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. There is no liquor served at the restaurant but can BYOW. From appetizers to main dish and even dessert this restaurant doesn’t skip a beat. It’s so hard to find a good Peruvian restaurant. In NJ this is my third good Peruvian restaurant that I would recommend. Definitely coming back to try other plates on the menu.

Went to Q’ero tonight(wednesday) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we got there up to the moment we left, everyone who we interacted with were friendly, courteous and went above and beyond. From the girl who greeted us in the front up to our amazing server Daniel and the girl who opened the door for us on our way out and gave my kids candies. We started with the q’ero ceviche sampler and the corn for appetizers. Then ordered the paella and the oh my gosh delicious risotto with squid ink. My kids just wanted buttered pasta and the kitchen was able to make it. my kids also enjoyed the cheese sticks and fries ofcourse. We went to q’ero by chance. I usually go to Metuchen Inn or Ram&rooster whenever we wanted something a bit upscale but local(Edison) when we didnt feel like driving far and although Q’ero didnt show up right away on google results for upscale in Edison area, Im so glad i scrolled further in page 3or 4 of the results and stumbled upon the restaurant. This is definitely a hidden gem that I will share with all my family and friends to keep the business busy. The food was delicious, the ambience is very chic modern and can be for a romantic dinner or chill with friends or even just a nice family dinner. The exceptional service was definitely cherry on top. Daniel our server not only explained all the dishes we ordered but he was so professional, courteous and friendly. He gave his recommendations and the drinks we ordered were so delicious and the background story on the drinks made the experience even more special. And towards the end, when he found out that we were celebrating our anniversary, the kitchen even surprised us with a cake and our two kids loved the sparklers Thank you for a wonderful experience and we cant wait to come back and bring our family nd friends to Q’ero.

We Went to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday here . We were a party of 8 so we made reservations. We drove an hour away and let me say that it was well worth the drive . The food was delicious ! The service was amazing very attentive !( Piero was our main waiter) . And the atmosphere was nice . And it’s great too that it’s BYOB! In addition , I have been to many Peruvian restaurants since I am married to a Peruvian man, and this restaurant is by far the most elegant and most delicious one of all! I hope you open more of them ALL across NJ! Everything was just perfecttttttt!!!!!
Thank you – 🙂

This is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. This place left me speechless multiple times because of the extraordinary food, service and atmosphere. The dishes served here will exceed whatever expectations one could possibly have; every single dish had an explosion of flavors cleverly put together to blow you away, from sushi with flavorful pork ontop to lobster ravioli and fried octopus. Our server Matias made us feel extremely welcomed and intriguied in not only the way these exotic dishes are cooked but the story of the restaurant itself. Matias was extremely educated in everything we asked and it was clear he knew everything by heart and not by revised lines. Overall this restaurant made me run out of positive words to describe it with and i cannot recommend enough that everyone that is thinking of coming here, without a doubt, should enjoy what is offered at this establishment.

I honestly was not impressed by Q’ERO especially with it being a restaurant in the $50-100 range. My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day. He made reservations for this restaurant weeks in advance for 8pm. I had this restaurant in mind for a while especially since it had Peruvian cuisine and my boyfriend is Peruvian so I thought it would be cool to try some Peruvian food for the first time. I had looked at their menu a while ago and I had an idea of a dish I really wanted to try because my boyfriend said it was one of his favorites when it came to Peruvian dishes. That dish would have been the Pappardelle Lomito. But unfortunately for Valentine’s Day they had a special à la carte menu which was a smaller menu from their regular menu. So sadly none of the dishes I was looking forward to were available. For some appetizers we got one of the sushi rolls and skewers. Both were okay I wasn’t blown away by the taste. As for my entree I got the red snapper and risotto and that was just okay. It had a nice taste but my food was on the colder side. None of the food tasted like it was made to order. It tasted like it was maybe sitting under a warmer or a bunch of the food was already precooked so things could move faster because our food did come out pretty fast which was awesome but it was cold. The food is aesthetically pleasing if you are looking for something instagramable but tastes wise it wasn’t all that. The service was okay but could have been better. Our server kept coming to our table talking about to give him 2 minutes and he did that twice but my boyfriend and I were just patiently waiting. Our server was nice and he did apologize for the wait. I feel like it took longer to place our order than it did to get our food. We also had ordered some mocktails but they never arrived to our table and at that point we were okay with the water we ordered so when the bill came and we saw that they were on the bill. We asked them to be removed. Which the waiter did with no issue. Overall it was just okay but not worth the price point or the experience.

This place is a true hidden gem
We went for lunch yesterday to try it for the first time, and from the moment I walked in the door it takes me back to a nice Peruvian restaurant at back at home.
From the incredible service: we even had our waiter made our desserts, and the dish look amazing, not to mention delicious! I wish google would let me post a video because the picture of the dessert makes no justice.. it comes on dry ice and they get it going in front of you.. SOOO COOL!!
The food: omg! Try the ceviche platter!!!, the pork belly and oh! The chaufa!!! These were my top favorite dishes, my mouth is watering just thinking another them
The mocktails and based on Peruvian flavors
Every dish has a very unique presentation (the mango drink was delicious!)
The ambiance plus the music makes it feel so much more special
This place is highly recommended if you want to enjoy delicious Peruvian dishes and spend time at a really nice restaurant!
I am going back to celebrate my friend’s birthday and I can’t wait to come back!

The best Peruvian food outside of Peru!! a group of my girls and I went there for a ladies dinner last week. We ordered ceviche and apps, lomo saltado, ají de gallina, the lobster raviolis, the red snapper over squid ink rissott and a few sides. Everything was absolutely delicious. I’ve been eating Peruvian food for decades in different countries, to include Peru, & have even learned how to make it myself, and this was by far some of the best I ever had. The ceviche here is in the top 5 but the warm items, especially the lomo were the best ever. The owner, Carlos, was a super humble, kind, professional man. He is the chef and the owner and you could see the love & dedication he has for what he’s doing. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible. We sat in this cute booth, super Instagramable. This is a BYOB restaurant, but their mocktails are delicious and can easily be mixed with your own libations. This restaurant is perfect for a day, a family dinner, a girls dinner, an event, etc. it’s also immaculately clean and the attention to detail is top notch. Honestly, as soon as I walked in, I was transported to Cusco. My only constructive criticism is that they improve their front of house staff. It was a busy night when we went, but they really could have done better. We spoke to the owner about this issue and he went out of his way to make our experience incredible. Would I go back to this place? Absolutely! Especially not a really busy holiday until their front of house staff are better trained/prepared.

My husband and I had an amazing time at this Peruvian restaurant! The food was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The star of the night was definitely the Anticucho sampler— such a fun and creative twist on a classic appetizer, with perfectly grilled bites and delicious sauces. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was beautifully designed, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. We can’t wait to go back!

I really liked the food and the atmosphere. The food was delicious, amazing presentation and taste. The atmosphere was classy, high quality and elegant. It was also not too crowded – Saturday evening. The only thing I didn’t like is the payed parking, I was not aware of it and I could have carpooled with my friends. It would be nice to know in advance of the required 10$ fee for parking!
