Had a deep dish pizza delivered tonight that I think was frozen. Ordered well cooked and uncut, and the box and exposed cheese were soaked. The sauce did not completely cover the cheese: it was shrunken, with an edge and a gap most of the way around, exposing cheese, covered with little puddles of water. I can’t imagine how this could have been fresh cooked to end up like this. Unappetizing and disappointing.

Bucktown Lou’s is top-notch. I went here on a VERY busy football night, it was packed, and the employees could not have been more organized, composed, kind, fast, efficient, and happy to serve. The wait was not too bad, they moved so fast to get everyone what they needed and their composure even caused us waiting to happily have patience and all was well! I got my pizza, went on my way, and enjoyed a delicious sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom thin crust! Well done, Lou’s Buckdown for earning both a touchdown and field goal on both service and deliciousness!

I’ve been ordering from this spot for the past 3-4 years and have never once been disappointed! The deep dish is the best in the city in my opinion, it always arrives on time, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. If you get the app you get tons of deals like free apps, discounts and occasionally free pizzas! Considering how big the pizzas are It’s shocking how much cheaper it is compared to other places in the neighborhood. I recommend the butter crust!

Edit: After an 2 hour wait, I went in to the restaurant and asked for a refund. Sylvester apologized for the inconvenience and gave me the refund. The pizza never got picked up, so it was sitting back there cold. He offered to give it to me anyhow and I accepted. If not for him, my 1 star review would have stood. Thanks, Sylvester.
Original review: Ordered at 6:58. Estimated delivery latest time estimated at 7:54. It’s 8:42 and it still hasn’t left the store. Two hours is outrageous! So far I’ve spent 13 minutes on hold and can’t get a human.

Decent little tucked away carry out spot. Maneuvering can be a bit tight, but you can also exit onto the alley behind the complex.

So we’ve had the competitor’s pizza , but it’s been a while. So while in Chicago, we had to try Lou’s. Let’s start with the buffalo wings (boneless). They don’t get better than this. No gristle-y parts, light breading without clumps of breading and no meat. Just pure chicken breast with the perfect spicy buffalo sauce. The only improvement would’ve been having blue cheese dressing, they were just superb. Then we got to the pizza. We had this meal delivered, and we’re at an Airbnb, so I had to have the restaurant cut the pizza even though they warned against it with delivery. Guys, it was amazing. The sauce was the best, THE BEST, and I don’t normally like chunky tomato sauce. This was seasoned so well and was perfect. The sausage layer was great, and we also added pepperoni. The sauce sold it for me, though. Others in my group raved about the crust and cheese, and yeah, those were tasty, have I mentioned the sauce? I’d definitely get this pizza again, and it will remain a special, unforgettable meal in my memory. Oh, and the cookies were fine. Very sugary -like I could discern the granulated sugar. That’s not for me.

Ordered pepperoni pizza, light on the cheese and well done crust. Picked up pizza and got home and found extra cheese and normally cooked crust. They got a simple request wrong. Would recommend checking your order before leaving the store.

The crust was good. For what it was worth; pretty expensive pizza. I got the Lous pizza in a medium Size and it cost $28. The pizza is very filling, though.
I had to transport this back, so it got really soggy. This is best eaten fresh at the restaurant, but there is no where to dine in inside. Service was meh. I can see the appeal, but not my favorite style of pizza.

Employees at store are extremely kind. However our delivery driver took absurdly long to get to us. What should have been a 10 min drive max took 45 mins. Highly recommend just picking up yourself.
