Claudio was an amazing server! So friendly, kind, and knew all about the history of the restaurant, which was fun as we were from out of town and were interested in knowing! The food was absolutely amazing, and the restaurant was cozy and comforting. Highly recommend this place!!

Really great and the best service. Wish I got pizza. Great brunch menu and drinks. Chicken parm sandwich was insane.

Food was delicious especially kale Caesar and lemon pasta but it’s very cramped and noisy. Feel bad for waitstaff who have to squeeze through tables carrying plates. Lively atmosphere, not for dates or intimate conversations.

Yesterday, We had a reservation for 10 people at 5:45 PM and arrived ten minutes behind with our family, including two young STARVING children (ages 3 and 6). Despite this, the staff made us wait outside for 20 minutes with hungry children, simply because our entire party hadn’t arrived yet. They claimed the restaurant was full—but as you’ll see from the photos we took, the place remained nearly empty until we finished our meal. The hostess was the most careless individual I have met in the hospitality field. She just did not care and kept telling us how FULL they were!

This level of inflexibility and lack of empathy, especially toward families with small children, is deeply disappointing. We were left standing, hungry and uncomfortable, with no reasonable explanation. It was an unwelcoming experience from the start, and certainly not one we’ll repeat. We won’t be returning.

Great new restaurant. The staff are all wonderful, great service. A few tables inside but plenty of seating outside.
I had the beet salad to start, really fresh and delicious. Big beautiful slices of beet, cheese and greens.
Then I had the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. Nice big portions, the tomato sauce is just outstanding. Perfect pasta, and the chicken was beautifully breaded and delicious. Highly highly recommend

When you want a daddie go to daddies for Pizza! They have Gluten free pasta only. Outdoor seating is still a thing in this city. The brick oven is awesome. There is plenty of indoor seating. Daddies menu looks amazing. There’s more than just pizza. The service was on point. The food came out so fast. Go get some thin crust. Go to daddies.

Idk what has been going on in New York lately, but it is proving impossible to walk into a restaurant on a weekday night and get a seat. Sometimes, I don’t want to make a reservation, I just want to let the spirits guide me. Some people do it by the book but I prefer to go by feel…

All this to say, my Lil Cuzzo and I were reject from the following places on a mf Wednesday night: Shuka, Raku, Pinch, Port Sa’id, RedFarm, and Little Owl before we were finally seated outdoor at Daddies.

Well to be fair, RedFarm was closed and Little Owl had horrendous vibes as, while standing outside waiting to see if there was room, a homeless lady HURLED an empty wine bottle at us that shattered at our feet while screaming gibberish at the top of her lungs. She had an ARM on her honestly. Thank God she didn’t aim for the head, it would have been CURTAINS. Well I would have slipped it no problem, my quick twitch muscle fiber is ELITE. All this to say, we dipped on Little Owl. The omens clearly didn’t want us there.

After getting our steps in and licking our wounds from constant rejection and shards of glass, Lil Cuzzo and I were finally seated on the heated outdoor patio at Daddies. We immediately ordered glasses of chilled red wine trying to process what happened. HUGE props to Daddies for having chilled red cuz lord knows we needed it BAD. Chilled reds don’t get the proper love they deserve.

Lil Cuzzo, while rubbing glass out of her eye, put it so eloquently when she said “It’s not like we were trying to walk into Carbone…”

We ordered the Daddies Salad, a Prosciutto Pizza, and the Rigatoni Al Ragu. The Salad was an assortment of fresh veggies and a great way to start the meal. The meatballs in the Rigatoni were a necessary touch. The Prosciutto Pizza was fantastic, with the crust being the standout. Good crust is harder to come by then people wanna talk about….

Overall the food was pretty damn good, especially given how negative these other reviews seem to be. I think the negativity is mostly due to being cash only, which I do kind of agree with lol. You gotta be LIKE THAT to be cash only. You gotta be Casa Adela level for people to be cool with cash only. I will leave you with the wise words of Draymond Green:

“Chasing that cash only payment?? They don’t love you like that. You can’t get no cash only payment. They don’t love you like that … You thought you was Casa Adela!?!”

Outrageously expensive for the poor quality of the dishes. We ordered the burger, which came with no sauce, just some lettuce, and a raw thin slice of onion. The meat was not seasoned, the fries were industrial and too salty, and they make you pay an extra $6 for a ridiculous slice of cheese without telling you that it’ll be extra and how much it’ll be. You’d get a MUCH MUCH nicer burger (+ fries) at Shake Shack. AVOID this place, especially the $30 burger. This is a real scam given the terrible value for money.
