I’ve been meaning to write about this place. The tall guy that was in the register was so kind. My friend and I ordered the family platter for 1-2 . This was good for 4 meals between the two of us. Had plenty to take home.
We asked if tea was served it was a bit cold that day he told us unfortunately no.
He came back about 20 mins later and surprised us with tea “I shared some of my own”. SO KIND of him and really added to the feel of the place. It already felt warm and cozy but that really topped it off. Even without that gesture , 5 stars food alone and customer service. Definitely want to return

Came here today and ordered the Beef Seekh Kebab. Taste was like Adana Kebab we have in Türkiye. It came out to a total of around $19 but it was large portion with a lot of sides so well worth it. The staff was friendly and they even let me order over the phone. Recommended.

The food was absolutely delicious and super fresh. The service was great and they were very friendly. I will definitely come back to try additional dishes and so glad I decided to stop by. The chickpeas appetizer and the vegetable Samosa was delicious. The fried fish was so good. I’m not sure what type of batter they used. I really liked it. The baklava was amazing.

went in for a quick bite after work, i got a lamb gyro. it’s truly delicious. The bread is a nice texture and there’s a really pleasant tang to it which reminds me of the short mango sauce you sometimes find at falafel places (but is harder to find in the states). very flavorful, i like the amount of lettuce and veggies on it. I also had a nice conversation with the man taking my order who was candid in response to my question about what Afghanistan was like was. With tax the sandwich was around $11 which seems very reasonable these days. I will definitely be back.

I had a fantastic meal at Palace Halal! The kebab platter was juicy and flavorful, perfectly complemented by fragrant rice and warm, freshly baked bread. The samosas were crispy and packed with delicious fillings. To top it off, they offered free drinks, which was a nice touch. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Long overdue review – it’s one of the really good places to grab a dinner & lunch if you’re in Downtown Silver Spring.
No frills dining area but large portions & very good Lamb – based dishes. Very reasonable prices, mostly around $15.
Recommendation: lamb salad & lamb kabob. Also ask for spicy version.

So I have never had Afghan food before, and I have to say that this was awonderful first experience. Ashna was the wonderful gentleman that took my order and gave exceptional service. He knew it was my first time trying the food, so he gave me some great recommendations.
I ordered the lamb and chicken over rice, which was just so flavorful and delicious. The rice was so aromatic and had great texture. The chickpeas and the protein that went on top of the rice was so savory and tender.
I also ordered the samosa which it was the first time I have ever had that, and it was delicious. It was crunchy on the outside and it had this enjoyable vegetable filling in it, and it came with this spicy & sweet green sauce.
The falafel I have to say was not my favorite because it was a little dry, but I ate it with my rice which had plenty of yummy sauce over it, so it was fine.
I loved the food so much that I ended up ordering some lamb for my mom to go. MY mom is very picky and she absolutely loved it. Ashna let me know that they don’t add anything to the lamb because they marinate it, and let me tell you whatever they marinade it in must smell divine, because the smell and the flavor was amazing. The lamb was so tender and juicy. I highly recommend stopping by and trying this place out. I know I will definitely be back to try more things on their menu.

Palace Halal Food is a tucked away gem of Silver Spring! I love Afghan food and this is one of the best I’ve had in this area! The staff were patient and friendly as I decided what to order. Everything looked so good I wanted the entire menu!
I settled on getting the Falafel Salad and it was the BEST decision!! Everything was fresh and the falafel was perfectly cooked and seasoned. To (literally) top it off, they added the most flavorful chickpeas! I like a little spice with my white sauce and they managed the perfect balance. My mouth is still watering and I would 100% recommend!
