So I was passing through and decided on Bbq ribs… The atmosphere is friendly, kinda of old fashioned, but welcoming. The service was exceptional! Now here’s where my 1 star rating comes, I ordered a rib plate at $15…. No biggie, except the ribs were BLAND, membrane still intact. I would usually return the food and get my money..They can keep it, this review was well worth it! I could make better for less!

It’s been my favorite BBQ restaurant since 1981. Located on the south side of Macon, Georgia, it originally opened in 1947 and has been run by the father and his son Tommy ever since. I love the tang of the vinegar sauce.

Before i start i must say i saw all the signs not to go into this place and ignored them so my bad experience is completely on me. Now with that said the first sign to leave was thats is a bar b que spot but didnt see one smoker outside. 2nd sign to say dont order was that only soup and slaw were sides if this is a bar b que spot where’s the baked beans potato salad mac n cheese? This place was awful the like earlier no smoker outside so imagine what the ribs tasted like with minimal seasonings. My real review is zero stars

Stopped by Tuckers a couple days ago and was able to sit down and eat inside. First time I’ve eat inside in many, many years.
IT IS GREAT!
There was some boys from Mississippi working on the coke building that had never eaten Tuckers,
I stopped by a couple weeks ago and got a BBQ and stew to go it was so good I had to come back . Well when I walked in this week the same two fellows was sitting in the same place at the counter eating lunch. And Mr.Tommy’s youngest grand daughter came in and had a chilli dog.
The Lady taking orders new what ever regular wanted.
It’s great to know that true southern tradition’s are still out there to be had by all!
I had the BBQ plate. You can’t go wrong with that! Fresh cut extra crispy fries!Tuckers slaw! And Stew!
IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAD ALL DAY!
I’m so glad I went inside, and was able to step back in time, even if was just for a little while.
Thanks for continuing to make great memories!

Food was not good at all, with exception of the fries. I paid $26 for a large bbq sandwich, two hot dogs, fries with a drink. Food tasted like it came from a school cafeteria. Over priced all around. BBQ is processed and hot dogs are light and pale, and taste boiled. This place does not serve “real BBQ”. Staff was very friendly on a positive note. Maybe that’s why they have almost five stars.

Been living in Middle Georgia on and off since 2011. I always wanted to try this spot, but the hours are very limited. Today I finally timed things right and was coming in hot through the parking lot. I got the Pulled Pork BBQ and Fries Plate, with a huge sweet tea. For less than $15 I got a plate large enough to feed 2 people, or myself twice. It did not disappoint, and I will absolutely be back!
