This place delivers better food and service than any restaurant I’ve experienced in San Diego. The menu is genuinely original, thoughtfully crafted, and executed flawlessly. Every single team member was warm, friendly, and smiling—you can feel the positive culture the moment you walk in.
I live over an hour away, and as a hospitality professional and restaurant manager myself, I was completely blown away by the level of service. Everything was fast, polished, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Even small details stood out—like a double Tito’s and soda for just $14, easily 30% less than most places, yet poured generously.
The food quality, flavor, and portion sizes offered incredible value. I honestly haven’t enjoyed a dining experience this much in over 10 years. Management isn’t doing something right—they’re doing everything right.
The team consistently greeted us with genuine smiles, even when simply passing by the table. Our server, Ashley, was phenomenal—extremely knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. I trusted her recommendations, and every single one exceeded my expectations.
If there were an option to franchise this place, I’d be first in line to invest. Thank you for such a warm, authentic, and absolutely delicious dining experience.

We got engaged near by here and wanted to try somewhere new for dinner. We heard this was the place to go. They were extremely accommodating cooked our meal ahead of time and had it ready by the time we arrived even after they closed the kitchen. Best brussel sprouts I’ve ever had, steak was great, and the mash potatoes too! They really made my day that much better. The owners Chris and his wife were extremely friendly! They were gonna pay for our meal but my fiancee paid ahead of time, so they paid for our drinks and dessert. Truly will remember them and all they did. Well worth the price we paid!

Literally everything was good! We had the Brussels sprouts with feta cheese and caramelized bacon bits on top… sooo good! And the chicken pesto!! Delicious. Great vibes, super cool staff, and friendly customers. The drink selection was always awesome.

If you’re looking for a local, hole-in-the-wall kind of place with great food, this is it. The waitstaff is super friendly and helpful, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. The 5150 sauce is a bit spicy (but delicious), so be prepared. The Blazin’ Bacon… man! So good, you do not want to stop eating it.

The food was awesome!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ate here twice the in 2 days. The burgers were great. I had 2 different pizzas and they were outstanding!
Update. We were back in the area one year later ( August 2025 ). We ate here 3 times over the 3 days in the area. The food and service were again, outstanding!!! We tried 6 of the appetizers and they were all amazing!! We tried 2 of the burgers and a salad. They were all awesome! The flavors combinations were delicious! This is a must stop, if you are in the area.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner on the patio of Backdraft Bar and Grill. We’ve been there before and chose it because of the nice outdoor space and great food. Angelique, the owner, was so easy to coordinate with during the planning process and always got back to me via text promptly, answering all my questions. We had a game of trivia with our friends hosting. Unfortunately, Backdraft cannot have any microphones due to the noise ordinance, but our trivia hosts were loud enough for everyone to hear. The staff at Backdraft were quick, helpful, and professional. This was the perfect spot for a casual, fun rehearsal dinner with delicious food.

Such amazing food. I have had the avo eggs before and they were amazing. The pizza is super delicious and so are the burgers. My kids are very picky eaters and they also really liked the pizzas (which is all they have tried so far). This is a small, local restaurant that supports locals but since it is still relatively new, it is always crowded and usually full…but if you do have to wait, it is still worth it. I will be back, for sure. This restaurant is dedicated to Stormy, my friend Kenna’s dad, who was a firefighter in this area for decades, and who passed a few years ago.

Went here for lunch and tried the turkey sandwich, the mac daddy burger, and chipotle raspberry wings. Wings were good. Burger was good, but couldnt hardly taste the bacon. Sandwich was also good, and thought the bread was a bit dry. Its a bar so a bit loud. There is a nice large outdoor area as well. Service was on point. Overall, would come back if in the area and would try the pizza.
