Reviews
Rated based on two locations [Leland, MS-now closed and Yazoo, MS]. One location took over the building formerly owned by Sonic in Leland, MS. While initially the fish offering was good, it ultimately became less and less appealing; meaning it became over cooked and had veins in it. The servers did their jobs within the confines of what they dealt with and tried to keep up appearances but on one of my last visits it became evident that the work environment and service level had diminished and that some bad seeds had been hired and were messing with the food and in how it was cooked. They left off items, over cooked fries with cheese and chili and drug out providing refills. The other one located in Yazoo, a full service one on all occassions left all the tables fifthy. I had to ask each visit except when I sat in my car in extreme heat for them to clean the tables after looking into the window while cleaning my car windshields and realizing that all the tables were dirty (something I came to think they were doing on purpose to get out of having inside visits). Their shared bath with the fuel station continued to be unserviced. The floors had debris on it and the server barely cleaned it as the manager sat watching me eat and shaking my head in disbelief via the camera off behind the counter as did the owner next door. They even tried that “keep your receipt” trick on a prior visit so I kept asking for it until I got it. The meal was not in keeping with their prior cooking level. They did not serve me the cajun fries I asked (they were reddened with paprika and had no actual seasonings on them) for and the fish flavor while “ok”, the texture of the fish was not. Last but not least, that chocolate cake they are passing off in lieu of the brownies (she admitted it when I asked) was not good and they shorted me on the ice cream scoops while giving me that extra whipped topping; apparently keeping the rest for themselves. Shame, shame…this place was one of the better ones because the other one further up near Flora / Bentonia dried out all my food. I ate it in the car and it had veins (I picked them out each time) too. What in the world has changed other than accessibility to good employees on all levels, training, loss of revenue so they start cutting back and throwing anything at you or a just don’t care and it is about the money only. written by Louise Jones-James
As a side note posting this sense these owners blocked the original posting she posted on that business review site after they changed the link to theirs trying to get the posting removed and then took it off the listing. It won’t help them since she sent to us.
