Highly recommend and would love to come back and try more since they have such a large menu!
Ps. Breakfast is served all day!
Fresas con crema is super delicious and refreshing. Champurrado is good but very sweet!
Update 7/8/2025: Still love this place. Fresas con crema has become a treat I come back for regularly – awesome in the summer for a light and cold dessert rather than ice cream which can give me a brain freeze. Tried the rolled tacos which were also a great craveable meal. Still observing that the food is most flavorful when piping hot, ensure you eat it right away! Everything is made fresh whenever I order which is fantastic. Also this location can get boisterously popular after 10 pm when most other food options are closed. Gives it a lively and cozy atmosphere populated with locals in the know about the good late night bites. Staff are also always lovely, answer my questions thoroughly, polite as anything and quick on the draw.
This was genuinely the greatest Mexican food I have consumed in all my years on Earth — possibly in all my past lives too. I journeyed to this sacred taco temple at 2 AM, battling –11°F weather, accompanied by three loyal companions. We were not customers that night…
We were pilgrims.
And at the end of our frostbitten quest, I personally was rewarded with glory:
Two quesabirrias so perfect they could have ended wars.
The cheese? UNREAL.
Hot, stretchy, fresh — the kind of cheese that makes you question every life choice that led you to anything less. When I bit into that quesabirria, I didn’t just taste flavor… I tasted destiny. For one brief moment, I’m 100% sure I saw the face of the universe wink at me.
The consommé?
It wasn’t broth. It was liquid gold, forged in the heart of a culinary supernova.
The cold outside disappeared. I couldn’t feel my hands, but I could feel the meaning of life.
If I lived here, I would eat at Giliberto’s every day, regardless of circumstance:
Snowstorm? I’ll shovel my way there.
Tornado? I’ll hang onto the doorframe and still place my order.
Zombies? They can wait — I’m finishing my quesabirria.
Meteor falling from the sky? Fine, but I’m grabbing a burrito to go.
To the staff working that night:
You are not cooks.
You are not employees.
You are culinary heroes. You deserve a national monument, a parade, and possibly your own theme song.
Giliberto’s isn’t a restaurant.
It is a spiritual awakening, a life checkpoint, a moment I will tell my grandchildren about.
If you’re reading this and deciding whether to go…
Stop.
Go.
Your soul deserves this.
