This Korean restaurant was super good and had so much variety on the menu. Every bite felt fresh and wasn’t heavy as most Dakgalbi I’ve had. it’s definitely worth as the portions were massive and the atmosphere was very nice. Would definitely come back. (The lamb skewers are definitely a must have!)

I really love Dakgalbi, and this is one of the restaurants I went to in NJ. I would say that they do get really busy and it’s worth the wait. I usually spend over an hour here on each visit due to the wait times the food. But they give a lot of complementary dishes like corn and cheese, steamed egg, and a salad if you go during lunch times. I went during dinner and didn’t ge the salad. I love getting the cheese Dakgalbi with rice cake, minari, and sweet potato fries. I love how they give ricr after or have fried rice after. In the photos it was for three people. Would definitely come back because the Dakgalbi is so good!

My brother and I had a good dinner at Hong chun cheon. The portion size was good enough and I loved the add-ons. Also fried rice was really good!

This place just opened this week so I think they are still working out the kinks. However, we did go there hungry and had to wait a while for our food to come out. Luckily, we arrived at around 6 and our two pans came out first. We noticed all the tables that came after us were without any food except banchan. The couple seated at the table next to us actually left after waiting and only having soju and banchan. I saw they were checking their watches and phones constantly. I wish this place had steamed egg like the other dak galbi restaurant I visited. Here, they only had water kimchi, pickled onions and jalapeños, bean sprouts, spinach and kimchi.

There were enough servers I think but maybe they need more cooks in the kitchen. I agree with what someone else said. I never tried capsaicin but there was a strong peppery aftertaste and “mild” is not really mild. It does still have a kick. Our party of 6 ordered 1 pan of mild with cheese and another pan of spicy (Hong Chun Chun) chicken. I prefer the other dak galbi place in Pal Park in terms of the sauce. I liked the sweet potato tempura and gimmari add-ons. I saw an employee carrying green bags of gimmari inside. I also have the same kind in my freezer at home haha. This place is different from the other dak galbi place because it’s currently BYOB so of course while we waited for our food we drank almost everything we brought. They kindly provided us with 3 types of glasses to drink with.

When we noticed how slow the food was coming out we decided to order fried chicken and fried rice before we were done with our dak galbi chicken. We also ordered chicken katsu. We thought we should clear out the pan before they fried the rice. However, the server came back and said the cook said we must have some chicken dak galbi left in order to have fried rice (??) So we said can we just get fried rice without any chicken? She said “sorry, no.” How about if we order one more serving of chicken? “Sorry, there’s a back log of orders so it will take a long while.” We ended up scooping up leftover chicken from one pan and moving it to the other pan! After half an hour the fried rice came and it was good. Thank goodness. The fried chicken was just ok. I couldn’t tell if it was fully cooked. I guess I will know tomorrow. The chicken katsu was mediocre at best. It was not seasoned well and the breading came off as we each took a piece. That is something I’ve never experienced before.

The complimentary makguksu or buckwheat noodles were the highlight in my opinion. My only complaint was that 3 bowls came out first then the other 3 people got to enjoy their noodles AFTER the first 3 people were done eating their noodles. I had a good time but I don’t think I’ll come back. If I do, I will call ahead and ask them to have my food ready or eat something before I go lol.

Food was excellent, the portion size was more than enough for two people. We ordered the kimchi cheese dakgalbi and their fried chicken and I must say their fried chicken is AMAZING. It’s fluffy, it’s crispy, we honestly could’ve ordered just the chicken and left totally happy. It’s also worth mentioning that their half fried chicken portion was HUGE, I took some to work the next day and there was still some left over afterwards. Our server was super nice too, definitely coming back in the future!

First time trying dakgalbi and have to say definitely won’t be my last. We came in at 5:30pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. Started getting packed around 7.

Really loved the dakgalbi. The stove underneath keeps your mozzarella cheese gooey the whole sitting. Plenty of chicken and kimchi in the dish. We added glass noodles and gimmari. Everything tasted super fresh and very flavorful. I love spicy food but know the Koreans don’t mess around so we ordered ours mild. Let me tell you that I think the mild is perfectly spicy. Medium probably would have been way too spicy to be enjoyable IMO.

The cheesy corn and steamed egg that come with your meal was also cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the small side dishes that were given in the beginning.

At the very end we decided to use our leftovers for the fried rice. They add egg, dried seaweed, and beansprouts. It had a wonderful bottom crust and came out as an adorable heart.

The staff was also very kind.

Went there with friends after the movie. Wasn’t that hungry, so we ordered little amount. But the portion of the food was a lot. Also it was spicier than what we were expecting. Must order fried rice when you almost finish the dish.

Food and service was great. Two servings were more than enough for two people, probably could be enough for three people. Medium spicy was not that spicy. If you like spicy you might want to go for higher level. The chef even made our fried rice in a heart shape which was cute❣️

It’s a LOT of food. The minimum order quntity for their dakgalbi is 2 servings, and that’s a 2 servings in the pan in the picture, which actually felt like 4 servings. We ordered half a fried chicken and that was an overkill. Ended up bringing more than half the food home as a leftover.
Make sure you bring a group of 3-4 if you want to order dakgalbi, especially if you’re gonna order fried rice after the dakgalbi.

the food itself was great. Both the dakgalbi and fried chicken. Would come again

Every time I visit, I tear up with excitement and joy Best dakgalbi in my life for sure. Also, their korean fried chicken is so awesome! ❤️‍ Side banchans, makguksu, corn cheese, gyeranjjim were great, too. Make sure to order some fried rice before you finish up the whole thing. The kind service of the owners were much appreciated as always.
