This is HIROSHIMA STYLE OKONOMIYAKI CHINCHIKURIN.Hands down, this is the most popular comfort food of Hiroshima. Each layer of the okonomiyaki is perfectly grilled and carefully assembled on a searing teppan griddle. And when your nose is engulfed in the hypnotizing aroma of the Otafuku sauce as it drizzles over the edges and sizzles on the grill, it’s easy to understand why this beloved dish has nourished generations of families in Hiroshima for decades!

Hiroshima serves unique and delicious regional Japanese cuisine prepared in an open kitchen where you get dinner and a show. Their signature dish had noodles on the bottom which can be soft or crispy.. the crispy was fire! Then they layer on cabbage and all sorts of options from ground beef, seafood, corn cheese and at least a dozen choices. The chefs prepare everything on a giant griddle / bar where dishes slide around and are cooked to perfection. Their omelet was outstanding as well. This was a very unique and enjoyable dining experience and our server was very helpful going over the menu and explaining everything in detail. If you have never tried this style of Japanese food it is definitely worth a trip to Hiroshima Okonomiyaki.. we will be back again to try more of their unique and tasty offerings.

We tried the soupless spicy tan tan men — the flavor was strong and really good. It’s definitely a unique experience, though. If you’re not used to new flavors or sensations, it might not be for you. After eating it, there’s a tingling/numbing feeling (almost like an allergy), which I wish had been explained on the menu beforehand. That said, I personally didn’t mind it and enjoyed trying something different!

We also ordered the chicken corn cheese mayo, and it was super yummy — definitely a favorite.

The food took a bit longer to come out since there was only one chef, but the kitchen is open so you can watch the whole cooking process, which was actually pretty cool.

Overall, good food, friendly experience, and a fun place to try something new!

We stopped by Okonomiyaki while visiting LA because we had just watched a Hiroshima-yaki video—and wow, it did not disappoint. The food was so good that we actually came back one more time before our flight out of LA.

We tried the tan tan noodles and the okonomiyaki, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on and everything tasted fresh.

On our second visit, Den was our server and really made the experience even better. Super friendly, attentive, and added that extra touch of hospitality you’d expect from a great Japanese spot.

Overall, highly recommend this place for amazing food and a great time. Definitely worth a visit (or two)!

Food is much better than expected. Appetizers shine brighter than Okonomiyaki, I would say. Don’t miss beef tongue. Yuzu Honey Sods is also really good. The server I met was really friendly. Atmosphere is not bad, but there is nothing special about it either.

Delicious and authentic! A friend who lived in Japan for a while said this is by far the best place to get Hiroshima style TanTan Men. The service was excellent, and the staff were very professional and speak Japanese for those who want to practice. The restaurant was also very clean and quiet.

Spicy one is a little too spicy, order one to share is totally enough.
No need toppings, it’s big.

We like the flavor that has meat inside.
GOAM flavor – we don’t care for this one.
ChinchinkuriYaki – our favorite, light but flavorful, the green onion adds a lot of flavor.

Pork Mochi – interesting 4/5

One of my favourite foods and this spot did not disappoint! The okonomiyaki was procedurally built and cooked in front of me by the chef. Looked as amazing as it tasted. I will return here!!!

I finally got to try Chinchikurin in Torrence, and their okonomiyaki did not disappoint! The flavor was spot on—savory, satisfying, and cooked just right. The portion size was perfect, filling but not overwhelming. They also have other options if you’re not in the mood for okonomiyaki, which is nice!

It’s definitely not the cheapest place for okonomiyaki, but the quality makes it worth it. Plus, the service was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re craving authentic Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

Service is always lovely and the food is delicious. I’ve been at least 5 times, solo, as a couple, with a group and it’s always be the same quality food and service.
