Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—every bite was better than the last. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and perfect for both a relaxed meal and a special occasion. You can tell a lot of care goes into everything they do. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending this place to everyone we know!

This location was a pleasant surprise, while looking for a nice meal with my coworker prior to meeting ups with the full team for evening beverages we decided to stop in and enjoy a great meal. We were greeted by Messiah with a huge smile and open personality, I asked him for his recommendation and his face lit up. He recommended the Burnt Ends and Mac cheese as well as the starter of the Coconut Shrisp. He brought out or two red stripes and then surprised us with aioli garlic spread in pita as a gift from the kitchen. To our surprise Tasha the head chef came to our table to check in on us. Food was served and it was as amazing as I hoped. Bottom line. Great conversations and loving service.

We will be back next time with the full team! Thanks Tasha, take care of Messiah.

This place was soooooo amazing 10/10. Been craving lamp chops after work but didn’t have any other spot to go to. From the time I walked in I was greedy with great energy. The flavor of the food was soooo amazing. Definitely is under rated.

The food was average , not terrible. I believe I waited 2 hours for my dinner, three tables left while we waited for our dinner to be served. I will say that the staff was friendly. The kitchen was not capable of handling the restaurant at quarter capacity. It was not good. They had a DJ playing a wide range of songs from different genres and eras.

I’m grateful to find this hidden gem the service with Caitlin, the conversations with Craig (One of the owners), and the cooking with Tiana (Hope I’m not butchering any names) was amazing. I don’t really write reviews often or think much about eating out but my friend and I stopped by for some steak and man we weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere is cool, the spot looks really nice, but I can’t get enough of the cooking. I ordered this 10 oz steak and it was one of the best steaks I’ve gotten to eat in my life and I’m come from a Brazilian family where all we know is steak, it was a perfect medium and had that smoky charcoal grill taste I wish I would’ve savored it longer. The Mac n cheese on the side was a great touch and made so well. But the sweet potato fries appetizer was THE best fries I’ve had, wasn’t soggy, crunchy, salty, or inconsistent. It was consistently delicious I would’ve had a whole bowl. I’m coming back to try their other dishes, but this is an amazing hidden gem you shouldn’t miss out on.

This new Jamaican cuisine restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The steak was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and seasoned with bold, authentic flavors. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh and was prepared with just the right balance of spices.
You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The quality of the ingredients and the flavor combinations really stand out. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.
For a new restaurant, they are off to a strong start. If you’re craving great Jamaican cuisine with steak and seafood options, this is the place to try. I’ll definitely be back.

Stopped by on a Friday for happy hour. Jessica and Katie were very welcoming behind the bar. We started with the Butcher’s Balls and Bang Bang Shrimp, both of which were delicious and came out pretty quick. Then we got a cup of the French Onion Soup which was also great. The bread/crouton stayed crunchy somehow even though it was soaked in broth. We were going to get the flank steak but Jessica recommended the flat iron so we went with her recommendation. The steak came out over the temp we requested but the flavors were good. Didn’t have room for dessert, but we were told about the limoncillo cake and biscoff cheesecake that we will be returning to try. Overall I would recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 100% Authentic Jamaican Excellence

Yesterday, my friend, her mother, and I set out with one intention: to truly enjoy deep, soulful, authentic Jamaican cuisine—but elevated in a luxurious, intentional way. That desire led me straight to Butcher’s Barrel, the restaurant owned by none other than the second fastest runner in the world, Yohan Blake—and I am so glad it did.

The outdoor seating alone sets the tone. You hear the train pass, feel the South Florida breeze, and take in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. It felt like culture, comfort, and class all meeting in one place.

Now let’s talk about the food—because wow.

I had the spicy brown stew fish paired with perfectly delicate rice and peas. The rice was rich and flavorful, and the spice level was just right. The fish was so tender it literally fell off the bone—seasoned to perfection and cooked with true Jamaican soul.

My friend and her mother both ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, and they could not stop talking about it. The oxtail was deeply savory, beautifully seasoned, and just as tender—falling effortlessly off the bone. True comfort food done the right way.

As a true Jamaican, I don’t give praise lightly—this gets a 100% best review from me.

And the experience would not be complete without mentioning the exceptional service by Chef Tasha. She was warm, courteous, and welcoming, making us feel like we were sitting down for a holiday dinner with family. The drinks were just as authentic and refreshing—from the pineapple ginger, to the real Jamaican lemonade, and that thick, perfectly balanced fruit punch.

The entire staff was inviting, attentive, and genuine. This is not a grab-and-go Jamaican spot. This is a place where you sit down, slow down, and savor every bite.

If you’re craving real, authentic Jamaican cuisine—not fast food, not watered down, not rushed—Butcher’s Barrel is the place to be. Ask for Chef Tasha and tell her I sent you.

Trust me… you will not regret it.
