I feel fortunate to have found this restaurant today, while
visiting Somerset, New Jersey! The food is very delicious…it is finger licking good! It is authentic Dominican food! The ingredients used are fresh and masterfully prepared! The restaurant is impeccably clean and delightfully decorated! My daughter Ashley loved their Mangu (plaintains) with stewed beef and I loved their rice and beans with chicken. I am posting her meal only, because by the time she posted her dish, I had already eaten mine…I couldn’t stop eating…it was sooooo good! Brisas Paisas, es un orgullo Dominicano. I highly recommend Brisas Paisas!

I know this isn’t considered soul food, but this place definitely cooks for the soul. This is hands down one of my favorite places. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or service.

Ordered the goat with rice. And a small beef with onions. Goat was mostly bones. Not worth the $27 plus tax. Food tasted excellent. The meat was not dry.

I am really disappointed with this restaurant !!I had come here years ago and the food was great and good price.The food is ok but the price is ridiculous!!I will paid anything for good food and good portion.They will not see me here no more!!Good luck

Food was way too pricey not worth it. I ordered the goat with yellow rice and it was very salty. Left a terrible after taste in my mouth I think the only thing that was decent was the potato salad

Instant food poisoning. We went at night so I’m assuming they left the meat out all day and still served it to us. My husband and I bought the carne guisao with arroz and both of us have been sick ever since. I had to stay home today because I can’t go far from the toilet. Would never eat here again. Be careful coming here near closing or they will sell you spoiled meat.

My boyfriend recommended this place because the food is supposed to be “good.” I called to place a takeout order, and when I got home to eat, the food was in terrible condition. I ordered beef with onions, but the meat was tough and cold like it had just come out of a freezer. The black rice was clumpy and had a sour vinegar-like taste, as if it was going bad. I also ordered mashed potatoes, which were also turning sour.
I called and explained the situation to one of the workers, and instead of trying to help, she scolded me like it was all my fault. I was just looking for a solution. I feel really frustrated and still hungry.
Think twice before ordering food from this place.

They food over all is amazing, very tasty and juicy also they sell sancocho on Saturdays SUPER GOOD RECOMMENDED specially if you’re hungover

The food isn’t bad, but it’s over priced. 16$ for 3 oxtails, and portions are very small. This whole plate was $24, it’s good but none worth 24 damn dollars !
