We were recently invited to join the Oh Daddio Food Truck for their Family & Friends event, and what an experience! We were warmly welcomed by Dawn, while Mark was hard at work behind the scenes cooking up an unforgettable gourmet meal.
Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and perfectly tender. The standout dishes? The smoked brisket and pulled pork — both were exceptional! And the sides were just as memorable: the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, and the “pineapple crack” lived up to its name in the best way.
Even my boyfriend, who’s an executive chef, was seriously impressed — and that’s saying something! We’re already looking forward to the next event. Don’t miss a chance to try them out!

While visiting Venice during the thanksgiving holiday, we couldn’t decide what to do about having our meal at home or going to a restaurant. Not wanting to cook a big meal, and after my husband mentioned buying a smoked turkey breast, I looked to see if I could buy one from a grocery store or shop nearby and found Yo Daddio. It was easy to order via a message, simple to pick up from the food truck, and so easy to bake at home on the holiday. It was wonderfully smoky, super juicy, and fork tender. Idk what they do to make it so delicious but it made our thanksgiving so easy and enjoyable instead of spending too much time cooking. Next time we’re in Venice, we’ll be back to try other bbq options from the food truck!

Yo Daddio! BARBECUE is hands down the best barbecue I’ve ever had! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, perfectly seasoned, and so flavorful that even though they offer barbecue sauce, you truly don’t need it. That’s how good the meat is—melt- in-your-mouth good.
I also had the brisket, and it perfectly complemented the ribs. Rich, smoky, and cooked to absolute perfection. And let me tell you about the Gouda mac and cheese—it was phenomenal. Incredibly creamy, packed with flavor, and so smooth and easy to eat. It was the perfect side to an already unforgettable meal.

So first time trying this food truck. I love BBQ. This was just ok. I got the combo pork and brisket, I found the meat to have little to no smoked flavor. It was tender and tasteless. I got the mac and cheese which also lacked seasoning. And the beans I could tell by the color they mixed old and new. And they were cold. Im wondering if they even smoke the meats themselves or buy it precooked? Not spending my hard earned money here again

Wow. Delicious BBQ. Way better than the restaurants in town. We had ribs, pulled pork and sausage. None of it needed sauce. Mac and cheese was also good. You pay for quality at this place. They did have a reasonable priced lunch special. Make sure you read the menu because everything is not available everyday. 10/10 rating.

Excellent BBQ. I would put the brisket up just short of the best BBQ places in TX, which is high praise, and certainly better than anything local in the Sarasota area. The turkey was also fantastic. We will absolutely be back again frequently!

This review is being written while we are thoroughly enjoying “by the pound” pulled pork from Yo Daddio’s. Holy cow! Really moist (don’t even need the included sauces) and delicious. What a fantastic find while randomly scrolling Maps on my phone, searching for some barbecue. We are from Lakeland, FL where there is no Yo Daddio’s. This will be a must-do when we come back to Nokomis. Highly recommend.

Mark at Yo Daddio smoked an amazing turkey for our 17 person family Thanksgiving. It was the best turkey any of us had ever had! Perfectly cooked it was juicy, flavorful and the skin was crispy, unsual for a smoked bird. He is clearly passionate about the food he creates. Everyone decided that Yo Daddio is definitely smoking the Thanksgiving turkey for us next year!
