I’m town for work and was craving some good fried chicken, first spot came up on my search. I’m from Louisiana and mostly my experience with food up north has been bland unseasoned no flavor but this place, the service was awesome and the chicken was really good and crispy. Those greens my God are so delicious the potlicka so good 10/10 would definitely recommend and they let you try before you buy!!!! Next time I’m here I will definitely be stopping in.

I was a first timer and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owner (Troy) and his family were wonderful and very hospitable. The food was amazing as well (1/2 slab of ribs, catfish nuggets)… 10/10 would recommend and I’ll be going back everytime I’m in the area!

Troy makes sure you have an experience when you come to his establishment. This was my first time and Troy was very pleasant and engaging. He also have me a taste test, chef’s kiss . He listens too, I said no cornbread for medical reasons and he didn’t include the fries. Ty Troy for the experience, I’ll be back! I ordered mini tip and collard greens.

I had the brisket and I was very impressed with my sandwich. The brisket was cut in thick slices, great flavor, and tender. I was so impressed with the brisket I ordered the pork chops for dinner. The chops are big thick chops breaded. Great flavor! Their fries are seasoned and crispy. Great food. I will definitely be returning.

My wife and son had eaten here for lunch before and recommended it to me. I got a chance to try their BBQ by buying some of their BBQ pulled pork for the Super Bowl. We stopped in one day and setup an order for pickup on Super Bowl Sunday so that it was fresh and hot.
Their BBQ pulled pork was fantastic and I think it tasted even better the next day for some reason! Very tender and tasty. The homemade sauces for the BBQ are very good. The sauces we got were hot, sweet and Chicago mild. I really enjoyed the hot and Chicago mild.
We met the owner and he is a great guy! They cook their BBQ in an outside smoker in the back of their restaurant. Menu is a little different each day. Call ahead or check their Facebook page for what they have that day.
We will be back! Highly recommended! Enjoy!

This is the best damn BBQ I’ve ever had! Troy is friendly and makes you feel like family and straight forward. A rare quality in people now days. He knew i was from out of town and let me taste the food before I bought it!!! It was amazing and I ended up getting the brisket and rib tips. Phenomenal service and food. I’ll be coming here from now on when I’m in the area on business. Thanks for everything Troy!

Man Look ! I’m sold ! I’m from Louisiana so you know we are hard on the world about food and great taste as we are known for it, but man oh man!!! This place!!!! I came here in the area for work and of course I crave good food being away from home! A friend of mine referred the spot so I tried it. Let’s start with the area and atmosphere! It’s located in a great area for one, it’s not hard to find (look for the big BBQ sign above the door, it’s huge) and inside is very clean and comfortable to dine! Now , I’m a big foodie so I’ve tried a variety of things being that I’m a returning customer! My pick is always the Jerk Turkey burger now! It’s a burger the size of Mt. Rushmore with ALL of the taste you can imagine!!! I couldn’t believe it the first time! It’s like an ‘All-American AllStar’ burger! That’s the feel and presentation, with a smooth Caribbean blend seasoning ! Perfected too! Yummy right ???!!! Check the pictures ! Now my other picks are the wings! Now let’s talk! You know how some places serve chicken and it has that “wet feathered fresh bird taste”??? Not these !!! These birds were loved and taken care of I can imagine! A very well tasted deep fried chicken!! I optioned to add lemon pepper over mine and I shouted Glory to God when I bit into them! I even asked the owner why aren’t they on TV yet? This should absolutely be on the cooking network!!! Oh !!!! The pasta! Oh my God! The pasta!!!!! Ask about the pasta !! Please I mean I taste the food Everytime before I leave and I throw my hands up and it’s like my soul went to dancing with the Lord !!!!! I close my eyes after a bite because I can’t believe it ! Its good for real! If I can give 10 stars I would! The people , they are great too! Always a warm welcome when I’m there and they make you feel like we’ve been knowing each other for years on! Even the customers I find myself awaiting my food talking and laughing with complete strangers because we both are anticipating our orders it’s a pretty happy place ok? ! I mean it’s good food coming up! Why not?! And it’s great vibes, from the guy and gal at the counter to the owner himself coming up front to welcome you in! All Awesome! They are going somewhere but they better not leave any time soon!!!! Give it a try! God bless !! I’m going finish my food !

A lot of family members must be leaving reviews because this was the worse food I’ve had in a long time. The pulled pork sandwich should be renamed the mush meat sandwich. The meat gets shredded so fine that once the Sweet Baby Rays is added it just becomes a pile of flavorless mush. I also ordered the mac n cheese. You can tell it was made 8 hours ago and placed into its container. It was compressed into one big blob of pasta. You had to really look hard to find a discernible noodle. I could only handle 1.5 bites of “mac n cheese” and about half of the mush meat sandwich before I threw it all away and left. The can of Coke was nice and cold and the fries were decent. Worst BBQ ever though.

This place is really good. I’ve had the ribs, wings, and cornbread and they’re all legit. Everything tastes great and you can tell it’s made right. The owner’s a cool guy too — he comes out to say hi and check on people, which is awesome. Just a great local BBQ spot I like going to.

I had the tips, Mac n cheese, and greens… every bite was dynamite! In addition to the 10/10 food experience, I also wanted to share how much i enjoyed the neighborhood vibe of the place. Troy came out and the whole place struck up a conversation about our love for music… especially blues. It was like we were all just hanging out at Troy’s house. I appreciated his story about the time he saw Ray Charles perform at the Chicago Theater!!
I’ll definitely be back!… maybe today! Ha ha
